Engine was grenaded & frame was cracked on both upper shock mounts. Full part out.

It’s the same thing. It’s definitely a kfx400 though. We ran the vin & it came up as such.

I can’t ruin the single track for the dirtbike guys lol it’s pretty hard to make whole trails on your own, it’s not the difficulty of the task, it’s the time & effort it takes to do so

Kind of up in the air since I have a wore out steering stem. I have about a quarter inch of play in my steering left to right.. the stiffer the stabilizer is, I notice a much more floaty & wandering feeling. Had I not had a wore out stem, I’d say it would probably feel pretty good. For the price, I’d say it’s worth it! It does enough for me to leave it on for the remainder of the season. However I will still be swapping it out for a precision & of course getting a whole new stem & bearings/bushings to complete the feel.

Nope I’m in the sport class. Row 9. I know I’m not fast & I know people like me love C class, but I know my place.

2nd gear, that was also a C class rider behind me that I caught. So it could be worse.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with this quad for what I’ve put it through. The 2003 model is the only one with the major frame issues, the 2004-2008 frames were gusseted from the factory so they’re much stronger than the 2003. I have a 2005 frame with a 2003 engine & it’s been fantastic!

@@Connor_Russell good to know. I'm currently looking around for a suitable LTZ- 2005. Unfortunately, however, they are quite expensive in my region, around $4k.

That’s what they’re going for up here in race ready or perfect condition.

Last time the valves were checked would’ve been last winter, this bike has been great to me!

Not my kid but my brother, you’re right though you can’t make a big deal out of a crash when they’re young. It scares them. He did have his helmet on, but he took it off for his last lap that day. So funny though.. 😂

It’s kind of a Frankenstein build at the moment, it’s got an 05 frame with an 03 engine, swing arm, front spindles & steering stem.

I knowww, I’m due for an upgrade.. It’s coming!

Any quad can race, you can race a trx90 if you wanted to.. I just race my 400 in the 400 class, I could race I believe up to A class with it if I was fast enough.

It’s stock gearing which is 14/40 & at the bottom of 2nd gear, I could easily go faster but I’m still getting comfortable jumping this thing.

Used to have another spot next to an ash pit but those jumps unfortunately got bulldozed.. rip
