I think people are forgetting how cell is going to be stopped afterward. Frieza could he stopped because hot goku and vegeta could fight frieza together if they really had to woth friezas golden form after top. However, cell started at a higher level, meaning his training bringing him to higher lengths, on top of the zenkai boosts. Its basically just like the video says, cell would be a lot better of a fighter. But even if vegeta and goku fused, im not sure if it would be able to stop cell with an extra 8 months of training, zenkais, and already higher starting point.

Assuming he was revived instead of frieza, Frieza was brought in like, just in time, and Frieza had to survive a hakai immediately upon resurrection, cell would have been brought back, and nearly immediately erased. Cell wouldn't have time even if he survived.
