I preordered TOTK and was happy with what I bought

So I’m conflicted. On one hand, I don’t like Ubisoft or their business model. On the other hand, I preordered the gold edition of Star Wars Outlaws the second it was announced, because I’m a Star Wars fan and I have some hope that the game will be good. I preorder most games that I know I’ll want if they have editions like that. The reason that I do this is because if the game turns out to be fantastic and get great reviews, I’ll have snagged the edition I want before it sells out. If it sucks, I can simply cancel the preorder. I basically use preordering for reserving, because it’s better to be safe than sorry. I just truly do not get the argument against preordering. There is absolutely zero downside

I did preorder the Elden Ring DLC. I know that's gonna be good. FromSoft is one of the few studios that can still cook.
