@@alvaslarva You're welcome. I have seen a test of several intakes on a GTI if I recall correctly. The test stated that a different inlet pipe and the intake mods + GTE duct blank on the standard airbox delivers similar performance as a R600 intake.

@@ThenameisOskar chech revdop luftkanal for 1.8/2.0 tsi..thats the real and very good solution...if you install that...you got a similar system..like eventuri cai....and air also can cool the intake manifold...and engine bay too...

@@nemanjaurosevic698 I now have a gtr 280 tuned to 360hp. I sold the bitdi because I got a job closer to home. But the car (bitdi) worked fine. Sold it when it had gone about 18300km

@@HaywireGW2 because it isn't a great time. this diesel shines in in gear acceleration, like 80-120, 70-140, which he did. 0-100 and 100-200 is very similar to a 1.8 tsi with 180 hp

@@vladmihai306 These do 0-100 in low 5 seconds (GPS). A 1.8 tsi Passat cant do that with 180hp or 250hp (stage 1) due to wheelspin. I have the same car with a remapped 2.0 TDI 150hp (@200hp 450nm) engine and manual gearbox. My 0-100 is horrible because of wheelspin from 0 up to 60kmh. The best I got is 8.8 seconds on GPS. According to VW it should do 8.9 seconds with stock power figures. Most people do it in 10-10.5 seconds. 😆 I did 100-200 in 26 seconds slightly uphill with some heavy equipment in the trunk though. It should be able to do it in 24.5 seconds with 0% slope.

@@ThenameisOskar another YT video shows 5.6 0-100 with the engine tuned to 300 horses (2.0 bitdi). yes, the dsg does help a LOT in acceleration, plus the 4x4. Diesels especially have an issue with manual transmission because you have two change the gears twice in order to hit 100, whereas I hit 100 in 2nd gear (actually I hit 110). So I will loose less time compared to you in a manual car and a TSI, just because of that. As for wheelspin, if the tires are warm and it is 25-30 degrees outside and the road is nice, you can get 7.5 (measured on GPS) with manual and 1.8 TSI 180HP (measured on my O3 car). So with a tune I am quite sure I can go to 6 seconds, before I actually hit the traction limitation. So, in the same ballpark as the tuned 2.0 bitdi. TDI engines and diesels in general are not sporty engines, no matter what you do to them, because they are simply more "sluggish" off the line, because the turbo has to spool more and they don't have as many revs as TSI engines have. Hence they never really feel sporty and never do great 0-100 times, unless you have the DSG and 4x4 traction which allows you to extract everything from that engine. A petrol engine is much easier to drive sporty in a manual car, since it revs up until 6500-7000RPM, so in first I get to 65-70kph and 2nd to 105-110. With 4th I reach 200kph! And it does feel as zippy as a 3L TDI engine with more horses. What it doesn't feel, not as punchy as the diesel engine when in gear, in higher gears like 4th, 5th. You need to downshift to make real progress, whereas a diesel can do it in the same gear and the punch in the back that you get from a diesel engine (even the 2.0 TDI) is stronger when you hit the accelerator, but the actual acceleration isn't so amazing, it just feels stronger to begin with.

@@vladmihai306 Agreed. By the way. An Octavia is a very light car, especialy with a TSI engine. The Passat BiTDI is about 1750kg without driver.
