wow, this has been good fellas. I knew Weston for a short while in Bundy, we used to work out at the same gym, my wife (at the time and Westons girlfriend were mates also. I lost contact with Wes when that mrs did the runner (about '89) and I went sideways, I heard he got into the Army and went SAS. For years I wondered how he was going, what ever became of this "young bloke" I knew. I think im about 8 or so years older than Wes, I hit 59 this month. He took out a body building comp back in the day, trained hard, did well. Anyway guys this has been a great podcast so far. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved friend, Shaun Spain, who passed away on January 7th. Shaun joined the military at 28 years old, and it was there that he met Bombardier Robbie Turner, kicking off a life-long friendship. Shaun’s commitment and passion for his country and his fellow servicemen were unmatched. His infectious smile and positive energy always lit up the room, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The loss of Shaun is deeply felt by all who knew him, and we extend our deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time. He will always be remembered for his bravery, friendship, and his unwavering spirit. Rest in peace, Spainy. You will be missed by all.

Haha , Went through Kapooka in 1990 SLR n Greens, they said who's got a driver's license I put me hand up with 3 or 4 others : right see those wheelie bins drive them to the big bins haha Don't volunteer for anything .. were at the mess hall and a corpral came up to me and said , welts dirty go back and clean them : yes corpral and there we go I'm not a corpral IM A BOMBADER and he had me doing chin ups , push ups n sit ups for the whole lunch time . Didn't make the same mistake again . apart from that loved it . Duty First..

I have a question about the last part. If I have completed a tad over 12 years service, then take out a dhoas loan then transfer to active reserves, will i still revert to tier 1 or remain tier 3 as I am still completing some form of effective service? Cheers
