First look at the 2024 ID.4 Pro S AWD

Right off the truck. This 2024 ID.4 Pro S AWD just landed at VW Victoria. Sporting the new Narvik 21" Wheels. I'll post a follow up once the PDI is completed.

when you use navigation from Android Auto does the ID light feature work the same as with cars own navigation app?

Did you try the walk away lock by the way? I"m shocked VW isn't advertising that.
I did! It locks pretty quickly, maybe 3 meters away and it locked

I just test drove the new ID4. The software is a huge improvement over the old version. Nice new premium stereo. It’s a handsome exterior but the interior is really really cheap looking. Cheap materials everywhere. Hard plastic, ugly piano black door handles. This car is 64k CAD in Canada with a 35k dollar car interior. And the raised rear seats is kind of odd. I also found the ride of the car kind of bouncey. 21” wheels seemed like over kill. Maybe the 20s are better.
Looking forward for mine in May. VW always knew how to make cars, now also their software delivers.

I have a question about the heat pump. I was hearing the VW was changing the supplier of the heat pump. Does this mean the heat pump is a different design now?
21 wheel are a joke.......you pay more for less comfort and less range LOL

If it doesn't have glass roof, it is id4 pro not pro s correction!
In Canada you can have a Pro S and no sunroof as it's an option, along with the wheels, area view, and heat pump

My Europe Finland 2021 ID4 (1st edition Max) is now getting SW 3.2 installed
Try and control that pinch and zoom when you on the road. Impossible. Flippin annoying. Should have added a plus and minus button like the other maps apps we all know and love.
Not the US version from what I see.
Precision: I just checked with my VW dealer in Qc and the service people do not yet have the 3.1 update on existing 2021 models. Apparently it is about to come but nobody seems to know except a Battery Life youtuber Chris in Germany!
Wow, think I'll stick with the UConnect setup in my Jeep Wrangler 4xe.
Vw software is even worse than the chinese automakers, I have an Audi and hate the experience.
I know bro. Germans love to over-engineer everything, yet they let a parts guy write the software. I know teenagers that could write better software in a weekend.
Still Fisher Price level UI.
When will it update in the US?
Unlikely never. VW wants you to buy a new 2023 to get this. MY21 and MY22 owners are left behind and no longer matter unfortunately
