I haven’t seen a percolator coffee pot in forever! And to add on to the others, reminds me of my folks.

My Mom always used a coffee perculator when I was growing up. My sister and I learned how to brew perculator coffee, when we were very young, becasue freshly brwed coffee was how we got Mom out of bed early on Christmas morning! She eventually moved to Mr Coffee sometime in the 1970's.

Good job! These challenges really help propel me forward. I fizzled out of the July challenge. I got in my own way with my perfectionism. BUT, I'm happy with what I got done. I started over Aug 1st. I love the idea of your scanning and sharing the photos with your mother. My mother lives with us. She has a digital photo frame on her night table. It has a flash drive - so it's easy to load photos to it. She enjoys it. I often sit with her and talk about the photos as they flash by. Photos are great memory triggers - I've always used them to get family stories from my elders. I inherited my grandmother's photo trunk. I organized all the photos into albums with photo pockets. I left the backs of photos visible. I carried the albums around on various visits and was able to identify many subjects and get stories behind the photos.

My pictures are causing me stress. Like you, I don’t know exactly how to organize them. Of course, in the early years of my marriage, I have pictures in photo albums, but then I started college and then went to work full time. It was then that I got behind putting them in albums. My thought now is to separate pictures of my daughter and her family from my son and his family. I started organizing them in cardboard shoebox containers. But, I know I have a large container of loose pictures which down deep is causing the stress. Hopefully, one day this year I will drag them out and see what I got.
