Pretty sure 90% of their stuff is up free on YT on their channel, would highly recommend them, even if Angela isn't in any of the ones I've personally seen (And I'm not a huge fan of musicals generally, so you know they are good if I enjoyed them)

HERE IS UR GUIDE MY FRIEND! Starkid started in 2009 with A very potter musical (there's a second and third too) which you can find in parts, low quality but there's captioning and it's hilarious. Then they would do a lot of other parodies, and every musical from HP then on would be recorded in full length and posted to RUclips for our viewing pleasure! The musical mostly regarded as their best by many (and me), is Twisted: The untold story of a royal vizier. Which is a parody of Aladdin and sort of Wicked (you do not need to be a big fan of either to enjoy it! I didn't think I'd love it as much as I did because I can hardly remember Aladdin but I assure you it's amazing) They have some other awesome ones but now let's skip ahead to 2018, and also when Angela comes in. Here is the start of their own story, a sort of dark comedy trilogy, which you can refer to as "Hatchetfield" because that's the place the characters are in. It's starts with the musical: The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals. This was a lot of people's introductions to starkid, mine included. One of my faves with twisted! Then they did Black Friday (2020) and I just wanna say the world of Hatchetfield is a tricky one, there's multiple universes so someone could say this isn't a sequel, though personally when someone watches the hatchetfield trilogy out of order it takes years off my life so do with that information what you will. (In all seriousness tho, there are certain characters and references you will not get if you skip around or watch out of order) Angela is in this one! Filling in for Maria Rose Faith bc she was on tour for Mean girls as Regina George! This is also where I was first introduced to Angela! Then we take a pause. Covid times. Uh oh. What do they do? BOOM zoom musicals. Or well, they're side stories they did on zoom, which sometimes have songs (and an awesome theme song) This is called Nightmare time (I and II) It features all our fave hatchetfield characters and some new ones! like an hour or more long stream with two stories per each. They are not required to watch, though they do provide some insight especially if you want more of the lore and backstory. It really explains the word. There are certain characters whom I LOVEEE to death that we unfortunately haven't seen in any of the musicals and again the songs are great. We also meet some BIG contenders for this next musical/the story overall. One of these "big contenders" was also the central focus of Black Friday. Now we move onto my other personal favorite along with twisted and TGWDLM: Nerdy Prudes Must Die (2024) this one also has Angela and other reoccurring characters, esp those big ones I mentioned that we see in nightmare time I and II. Songs are amazing it's hilarious etc etc. Nearing 2025 or in it, they're gonna release their newest musical Cinderella Castle! and Angela is in this one as the stepmother! Not hatchetfield related. Oof that was a lot to type I hope this was helpful tho!!!!

Yes! I’m pretty much all college and professional theatre shows, the microphone is taped to the forehead in order to hide it more from the audience

I think one of the reasons is that every actor plays multiple characters so it could save time having to clip the mic onto every costume and maybe even forgetting. Just my theory though

i don't really see the problem personally, i think the show could use some more esotericism rather than going full superhero slop. a fingergun that can actually kill someone coming as a benediction from an ethereal sergeant is kind of way cooler and inspired than just "waw i teleported a gun from other dimension herpa derp". plus it's amazing as meta commentary on theater, what with the whole thing that hatchetfield is just a timeloop of demise reenacting itself and always ending up breaking its own reality

Reaching into the Black & White to access stuff is literally Lex's power though. It's used in both Black Friday and in Yellow Jacket.​@@solarprogeny6736

Me execpt I love TGWDLM and NPMD more than black Friday (I actually rank it a bit low compared to other starkid shows but I STILL LOVE IT)

@@Sammie1053 nightmare time was basically a covid lockdown lore dump for the hatchetverse so they didn't all end up in poverty and one of the later episodes is called yellow jacket and its angela's character and her little sister from black friday. it ends with a heart wrenchingly acted monologue performed by angela that is in stark contrast to how angela acts on smosh

@@CUNOWINS Yeah, I haven’t seen all of their musicals yet, only Twisted, the Hatchetfield trilogy and the Trail to Oregon. But of those five Black Friday is definitely my least favorite, like it has some really good stuff but compare it to TGWDLM or NPMD and it’s a clear weak link.

yeppp maybe they were intending to do a more serious tone but if so that's a shame because the premise had SO much comedic potential. angela was amazing in it tho, they all were <3

@@CUNOWINS I love Black Friday, but it’s definitely an awkward transition period between their comedic and serious shows. I feel like if they’d had a bigger budget and more time for things like previews it or workshopping it then it would’ve been better. I am so not delusional even though I love it, it is definitely not one of their best shows, but even still the songs slap and it introduces Wiggly so like

are we sure it even exists? these proshots are usually put together from a few performances (at least for tgwdlm, they filmed certain scenes without an audience to get the proper close-ups)
