    MostApple farmers spray their trees 7 or 8 times to protect the leaves and fruits! They also prune their trees to shape their growth twice a year! Watch the state of New York Department of Agriculture videos on pruning Semi-dwarf trees! They tell you how to shape you trees if they are on a hill! You dont want your trees to be six meters tall on a hill. You have to clip the branches so they are not five meters long, dragging on the ground, being eaten by everything. Shorten everything to keep it close to the trunk. Prune them down low while they are still small and young! Good luck with your farm!

    TONY; if someone wants to learn how to ggraft apple trees, watch the Wambugu video that shows you how, then go out in the woods and practise on the weed trees until you develop your skill! Its pretty easy,really! I found that plastic bread sacks work good as a grafting strip? You just cut it in 3cm strips down one side and up the other and each strip will make a graft! Several rules you have to follow but it is fairly strightforward to do! Good luck with your farm, Tony!

  • @lewisdmorgan7863
    @lewisdmorgan7863 3 месяца назад

    TONY; some of your leaves are starting to get mites on them! Remember, no leaves, no apples! Feed your trees in a bigger circle to force their roots outward! You dont want them to stay in kindergarten forever do you? Lead them out into the world with some good manure! When they grow, do your pruning with your clippers instead of a pruning saw! Those branches you bent down need to be shortened by half to help them develop thickness . You need to adjust these trees at least twice a year. There is no reason to let them make a lot of extra growth if you are just going to cut most of it off! Remember! You dont want to wait until a child is a juvenile delinquent before you start trying to deciplin it! Use easy, gradual steps beginning when they are young and they will adjust correctly as they age. Good luck with your farm, Tony!

    Wonderful to see. But sorry to see that termites have been a problem. Sending wishes that a hopefully non-toxic, relatively free, perhaps bush-lore solution is found. Here in Australia, before poison spray was available, an old trick for signs of termite moving into wooden houses was to bury tiolet rolls just beneath the surface at strategic? points close to structural points. The termites would sort of infest the roll first i guess if lucky. Never done so myself, so no idea of the details. And not sure that comment is sny help at all, just interesting.
