Small Strap Making with Jane the Janome 7700

This is a strap video with Jane the Janome Memory Crafty 7700 QCP. The strap is about 3/8" wide and is 4 layers of quilting weight cotton. It does a nice job once it gets started but the getting going part is a little tough! There is also a little comparison of the 2 thread weights that I use. .25" straps on Sally the Sailrite 111!!!

I can't say enough good things about my sailrite 111. I made .25" straps that were barely as big as the center foot and the machine sewed it like a pro! My domestic would have eaten my fabric since it was so thin at least starting out. At the end there is a little video of how it did with the marine vinyl. SAME settings! Fusing interfacing (Mandi's Way!)

Here is a short video of how I fuse all my interfacing as well as get a nice crisp press without worrying about stretching my fabric. This gets a great fuse! It is a 15" x15" heat press I got off Amazon.

Ordered my Sailrite fabricator today , I have been sewing on a clone of the Sailrite LS1 . But having that beautiful top stitch for canvas and vinyl is a must for me. The price for the Fabricator with table and servo motor is now $ 1,500.00 without tax and shipping, but for the quality of work , it is still one of the cheaper machines on the market.
Do you still have the Sailrite 111? I have the chance to buy a used one, but concerned about it because this model has been replaced with a newer version.
