An in-depth look at some of the gear I use for Urban high threat work. The key products from this video are from LBT, GBRS, Vertx, AWS, ESSTAC, Safariland, and Soileater.
Excellent vid, keep them coming.
Made some positive modifications, thank you for the guidance.
Outstanding! ♠️🙌
Awesome information, keep it coming!
Good stuff, learned a lot on this one. Thank you!
Please turn up the volume and shut the music off while the video is playing.
@@trooperjinthewoods4538 check out my newer reviews. The audio problem has been worked out.
Great video, as someone who has tried the crye jpc, spc, a fake jpc (warrior assault systems Low Profile Carrier V2) and found them to be very uncomfortable compared to a ferro concept the slickster all with the same plates, what would you recommend as a carrier? I believe it has something to do with the width of the shoulder straps. The ferro is narrow in comparison to all the other ones.
Jus started getting into this type of stuff, shits great
Hey man, depending on where you're located it'd be cool to link up and do some training, maybe do a collab.
That would be epic! Our subscribers would love it too. 🙏🏴☠️
At 1:36 oof that emission point in the night vision is a tube killer. Emission points are the worst. They never get better, only worse )=
For sure! That was filmed through an old PVS-14 we had laying around..
SPC is best of both world
What do you think of an AVS setup versus the SPC with AXL equinox and AXL shoulder pads?
Just the structural cummerbund with the SPC and axl shoulder pads will give you about 85 percent of an AVS at a few hundred dollars less. But there is no current loadbearing options like the AVS or CAGE.
@@sectorseven07thank you! Would you suggest the AXL equinox or the OEM Crye structural cummerbund?
@@TheRooferguy Crye structural cummerbund for the SPC by far. Love AXL's products and in fact they just sent me a bunch but the equinox is not necessary for the SPC whatsoever.
Love your content my guy
Heavy will always be in style.
People have preconceived notions about base plate bags of certain carriers and they automatically assume “minimalist” or “load bearing”. The number 1 thing that makes a PC load bearing is the wearer not being a pussy and lifting weights lol. Sure, some newer accessories will help with the ability to carry load more efficiently such as shoulder pads and cummerbunds with tegris or other thermoplastics sewn into the nylon, but if it has PALS on it, it will hold shit.
Well said
Hell yeah! 💯🙌
Brother I do not disagree with you, but just wait until you butt up against 40, have spinal stenosis and compressed disks due to your service, and want to not have a 24 hour op disable you for 3 days lol. It definitely starts to make much more of a difference as you age. Very hard to out tough spinal compression.
@@sectorseven07 trust me I’m no stranger to damage, I played rugby for 7 years prior to joining and I’m closing in on year 5 in the infantry, I have more chronic aches and pains than the average almost 23 year old but that’s the name of the game. If I didn’t take the weight room as seriously as I did my whole life, things would be worse. Weak things break after all
Good shit brotha. 👍 you seem like the kind of guy I'd invite to a cookout 🌭🍺
How well does it work with a ruck
The idea for this experiment is to just have an LBE/FLC type setup that’s meant to be standalone for 12-24 hours of sustainment so that no ruck or assault pack is needed. That said an Alice might work well with it. Imagine not needing a ruck for a short recce and everything is worn almost like a battle jacket.
do a video on tarps, ponchos and sleeps/shelter systems for op's
Roger that!
Awesome set-up .👍🇬🇧
@Recon and Raid, the only thing I do differently is add more tea and less coffee. Tea will not leave you thirsty. Coffee will. I know coffee helps if you're tired and on a mission. I like coffee too, but I had this drummed into me. "Who Dares Wins"
I agree completely. The only reason for the coffee is emergency energy. Otherwise I wouldn’t have it in there. I may replace with a green tea or caffeine powder.
That kit room is dope my guy
never go out without plates bro. Unless you can respawn after a hit to the chest =)
When it’s comes to most full spectrum combat operations, I would agree, however when it comes to recce there’s an entirely different school of thought, as well as different set of doctrines for tropical environments. But I could very easily put a slick carrier under this FLC if needed.
Good stuff! Are you in southeast MO?
Negative but I would like to attend 1 Shepherd someday.
Where would you put your IFAK?
@@jovenalasis4468 back of belt, Fanny pack, or butt pack. Going to test a few ways with this setup. It’s currently in the butt pack but probably won’t stay there. This is just a setup I’m testing out and is by no means ready to be fielded yet. Checkout my other videos for actual setups. 🙏
Nice setup
Stay prepared
Calling it OOOFpro is now a meme because the actual Polish SWAT guys called it that.
All the euro dudes I know call it OOFpro 😅 it’s really too funny. Great company
Did I miss it, I didn't see an ifak?
It’s in the butt pack. I realized after I posted that I left that out of the video. I’m not done with this rig yet so I’ll make a follow on video down the road
Nice set up. My main issue is water. Do you plan on having more than 2 quarts? Maybe I missed that in your video. Anyway good video thank you.
Thanks for the vid!
Thanks for watching. What kind of flag is your profile picture? It looks pretty cool.
@@Recon_and_Raid it's the regimental emblem of Louisiana ARNG. Symbolism Shield- The shield is in the colors of the Infantry. The organization's honorable Civil War service is shown by the saltire, (St. Andrews cross), taken from the Confederate battle flag. The leopard is taken from the arms of Normandy and symbolized the campaigns fought in Northern France. Crest- The crest is that of the Louisiana Army National Guard.
@gjnezat that is very cool. I am Scottish so I recognized the St Andrew’s cross.
In what kind of climate do you reside?
@@gjnezat humid subtropical
@@Recon_and_Raid cool. I live on the GC and seen some indications lol
The more I train doing patrol/ recce work . The less I see myself carrying a pistol and mags for it . Especially if I am not in an urban environment. I would rather replace that weight with my chosen rifle's ammo and mags. I have a FLC and find it very comfortable. I have also thought about removing the heavy belt with a lighter modern molle battle belt.
@@bryanfaulkenburg462 I agree big time.
Just depends on your environment.
I think I will replace my pistol mags with more pistols

you should test neoprene cover for the goggles strap atleast for me it was amazing difference.

Im not military, i worked as a Nurse and in private security. I was taught by a rural physician to carry many roll gauze, because he hated using SF tourniquets so he always had me carrying endless gauze in a stomp bag when we worked in the field. To this day ill use those tourniquets and, lots of gauze in my medical bag.
Im in Alabama, and m81 and variants are my favorite.
😂 four of them two quart canteens on your pack, i rather have two gallons on a pack and a canteen on a a.l.i.c.e.
I have two 2 quarts, 1 quart, and a 3 Liter Camelback.
@@Recon_and_Raid nice great video yoo

Hell yeah!
Love seeing a 2 QT on the ruck!
@@dfostman6014 they’re great 🤌
This is WHAT IM ABOUT
Mixing camo patterns is for guys that ride the short bus!!! You look like a CLOWN!!! LOL. Camo is obviously not your strong suit! Multicam and M81 don't work together!!!
I live in Missouri and have used m81 in the woods since the 90's at least and I agree it is extremely effective, some of that new wasp camo might be a little better depending on your AO but m81 cant be beat imo lol. 👍
I agree! Have you been to 1 Shepherd?
@Recon_and_Raid not yet unfortunately lol, but I do watch brent0331 and the other guys. Playing in the woods when I was younger wearing m81, people could walk right up you and not see you. I would almost think they could smell you that close, but rarely got discovered unless that was the objective lol.
Same here. Good stuff.
