Just trying to make some cool edits 🤓
This is why Vander almost killed Silko | Arcane Season 2 Episode 5
Vander's memories in the form of beast and his letter to Silko finally explained scenes from 1 season, where Vander tries to drown Silco in a river.
Silko led the people to the bridge and was the first to throw a Molotov cocktail.

I’m gonna be real will yall, I thought this was the dumbest explanation for their falling out, and the idea that this letter would’ve fixed things between them is laughable. Especially with how the theme of the consequences for violence were set up in season 1, I was straight up laughing during that letter scene
I think the reason why this hurt so much for me was bcs silco ended up taking in a child who was just like him. Abandoned, but not just that, she was abandoned by someone she cared about deeply and looked up to. Silco had been abandoned too, and to make it all worse the person who left him behind tried to kill him. He saw powder, and furthermore saw himself in her and took her in, hence why he said “*we* will show them.”
so why Vander and Silco parted?
The characters in Arcane are so perfectly written. After more background knowledge from Season 2, Silco is in a completely different light. Siclo was just a broken man who was betrayed by his best friend. His goals always remained the same only after this incident, his paths became more radical. When he stood in front of Powder in episode 3 of the first season, he could have killed her but took her in because she had to experience the same suffering as he did. All the more I wonder what would have happened if Silco had spoken to Vi before episode 6. He said he regretted not having spoken to her. Whether that was just said or not, what would have happened they would have spoken and Siclo would have told her about the incident.
An excellent, comprehensive reconstruction of events. I might have thrown in a shot of Vander and Silco from Ekko’s alternate universe, just to emphasize the “things could have been different” line, but that’s my only note.
wait so why did Vander attack Silco ?
Where's the picture on this clip? All I get is audio.
One qualm I have with the sequence of events as they’re presented here (Vander and Silco friends when young -> battle on the bridge -> lil oopsie in the river) is due to Vander’s damn beard, or lack thereof. While it makes sense for him to be un-bearded in the earliest flashbacks, the fact he goes from having a full, grizzled face of hair on the bridge back to clean baby face for the attempted drowning of Silco seems odd. Like, is shaving one’s facial hair a typical way to react to grief that I’m unaware of? Admittedly, with the new information given to us this season, the clearest sequence of events does seem to align with how it was presented here, but it does still annoy me that there doesn’t seem to be a clear answer regarding Vander’s beard evolution.
“silko” lol
The fact that silco was ready to sacrifice Vi before she even joined Piltover in season 1 doesnt makes much sense retrospectively .
#zaundads #valco
so Vander was just a big baby who couldn't take responsibility?
Ooook soo my theory is the reason in the alternate timeline the reason Vander and Silco made up was because Silco had found that letter.
What I don’t get is why did Silco behave as he didn’t know who Powder and Vi were, and was willing to hurt them and so careless towards them? He surely had to know who they were if he was close to their mother. Seems like a giant plot hole. 😂
What actually happened? Did they try and fight topside, and she got killed because of that
As much as i love Vander , we have to admit it that he really did Silco dirty by trying to drown him. But whatever , it’s the way that it is , nobody is a saint in this show , everybody has done bad thing’s. Complexity at it’s finest.
me taking all this time to realize why is Silco the one who replies when Ekko asks "didn´t he tried to kill you?"
I got goosebumps, that defines how good this simple edit is, the music fits perfectly
I just realised that Powder knew Silco before Vander’s death since he would have been there during her earliest years prior to Felicia’s death. It always sort of bothered me how Powder threw herself at this strange man the moment she met him, but knowing he was at some point in her life a part of her family makes it make so much sense. Due to her age, she very likely didn’t remember much about him, but just being able to recognise him was enough for her to feel like she had found the closest thing to what she had just lost. And it explains why he held such fondness for her too. He not only was there when she was born and watched her grow, but she really does look so much like her mother. This show man
Nah that's a reach.
Cook.
Remember when silco tried to kill them and didn’t give a care who they were. Man the writing is so bad.
This fucking series man...
Y'know im only just now realizing that silco knew powder before he took her under his wing. He was probably around, watching the kids grow up, until their mother was killed. He didn't just take pity on powder as a kid who was abandoned, he was doing the same as vander did...
Nope, silco didn’t know who they were and was actively trying to kill them. It’s called bad writing.
Nice spoiler, get banned
Ok beautiful but, I don't know about you guys but if I received this from someone who has just tried to murder me I don't think I'd be: "ok, I'll try to hear this guy out"
That's why some people think it was because of Vi's death
Thank you for not spoiling the fuck out of the show, you picked a good title and a good teaser of a thumbnail. I swear half the suggested fan videos/clips etc. are spoilers these days...
Nahhh this isn't cannon to season one
You can tell how hard it is and how hurt inside Vander is when he is chocking Silco…his teary eyes 🥺
Why do Vander and Silco love Felicia so dang much. Weird
I don't know how I didn't realise that Vander's not a good person was not a good person.
Can someone explain it to me, because after season 2 I am not sure: was Vander the biological father of Vi and Jinx? Or was he just close friends with their mother? In girls flashbacks their fathers face is obscured, but he kind of looks like Vander...
I still dont get it, can someone explain, why the letter was important?
This show has many "if only... Then this could've been" moments. But everytime there was is some individual making a very understandable mistake because they believe they're doing the right thing and ruin everything. Jynx is the one who has the name, but in reality everyone is at some point the one who jynxes it. And this is exactly why this show is so good. Many things that happen around our lives are chain reactions of actions and consequences triggering more actions and having different consequences of different people. Eventhough Viktor waging war to eradicate people's freedom of thought is something that made me lose sympathy for him, what I previous described is exactly why I understand this decision.
Silco's S initial looks like a 5 and Vander's initial V is the roman numeral for 5. Am I reaching?
Hardest edit of Arcane
FK THIS HURTS SM
Something's not right with this story. They are not telling us everything.
bro casually dropped the hardest Arcane edit and thought we wouldn't notice
Silco was'nt villan
Amazing edit. Simple and touching, the music fits perfectly
But i still dont understand because vander turned on silco before the fight at the bridger from s1, where vis parents died. So vander turns on silco before her death, when they were younger. But they never explicitly state why. Wish theyd given a background dtory
I am almost sure both had a crush on Felicia. And Silco raised a Sister that reminded Felicia the most.
So like…he had a beard when he was on the bridge where their mother’s corpse was but he didn’t have a beard when he tried to kill Silco.
I don't like that Vander apologized to silco. I see this as a way to discredit a strong male influential character in the series. This second season has been a huge let down.
A great man knows when to apologize, especially for the greater good of their surroundings. Men and women who lie and pretend everything is fine are the reason why Piltover and Zaun are in the state they are in, in the first place. Vander does not get discredited in the slightest. Season 2 gives more back story on why things turned out to be. Vander manned up and took care of Zaun and its children (literally). He was not perfect but did more than most, clearly.
For me Vander is the father of Vi. It's so obvious.
If vander tried to kill silco right after the death of felicia, then why does he wear no beard in the scene of the aggression but he does wear one in the introduction scene were he shows to vi and powder the dead body of their mother?
That still doesn’t justify Vander actions
Masterpiece
The best channel name
Wait, I just noticed something... Silco's bracelets when he's sitting at the bar eating look similar to, if not exactly like, Jinx's necklaces. Am I crazy or did he give her his bracelets to wear as a necklace?
Wait why did vander almost kill silco
