Scipio was the Roman Mahoraga. Improvise, Adapt, Overcome
Thanks for watching ‼️
@@Werollwithbestplus you're welcome! Keep up the good work 💪💯
1:05:36 tbh I wouldn't call this a luck, this is a deliberate strategy from scipio, he already foresaw this from happening
The numidian cavalry were some of the best trained in the world at that point. He knew they could be trusted to follow the plan instead of going for personal glory
Great Reaction you deserve more views.
Mean everything thanks for watching ‼️‼️‼️
47:30 nope, it's just because his army is not prepared for a siege, rome is very heavily fortified for any benefits for hannibal
So what you saying is either way Hannibal would’ve been Fck 😂😂
Thanks for watching ‼️
@@Werollwithbestplus Basically, as I said Hannibal was too focused on just winning the battles, he though Rome would have surrendered eventually but they are not like other nations. The only real chance he had was after Cannae, if he had more men and the right equiptment maybe he could have sieged Rome. But since the moment the romans learned their lesson and started acting smart, there was not much to do for Carthage. Rome is a military nation, while Carthage depends on mercenaries, and it had more population too.
@@Werollwithbestplus And the senate of Carthage didnt give hannibal almost any help. They were too much of a coward and jealous of him. Hannibal was just on his own
@@Werollwithbestplus nope as well, he is just thinking it's not worth it and it might fuck him up cuz it might take more than a year, remember that siege is taking a few months or even a year at times
Hannibal was an excellent tactician (battles) but Scipio was a better strategist (war). Hannibal limited himself to winning battles and did not see the background, which is one of the reasons why Scipio defeated him. As Oversimplified explains well in this video.
Yeah tbh I think during the battle of Zama Scipio probably saw that his weakened infantry would have to face Hannibal's strong infantry on the back after getting exhausted so he have trusted the cavs to come back on time He foresaw this development before it even happen
the biggest issue with marching on rome is that Carthage never gave Hannibal proper support. if after all his victories they gave him a proper army with seige weapons he wouldve been able to tale rome but since he didnt it was smarter just to chill
Did you not watch? Hannibal’s supplies and men came from Spain, it was HIS empire since his father took control of it, that was the whole reason Scipio clapped it first before he did in Hannibal.
Good point and thanks for watching ‼️
@Vntihero roman control over the seas had stopped any shipment from spain. If Cartage. Made a concerted effort to break roman dominance and ship From the much shorter route of Is southern italia to Carthage.
@kringle7804 if if if, bro Rome won all 3 wars, Carthage was doomed
@Vntihero ? What are you talking about.

"Imitation Is the Sincerest Form of Flattery." Scipio really respected and learned a lot from the OG. (Great Reaction btw!)
To this day in Italy Hannibal is the only enemy of Rome that is widely respected, the man was too great to not admire, anyway great reaction guys you deserve way more views

31:23 consuls and dictator come from the roman system of government where there were two consuls elected at a time, when oversimplified says "First Consul" he means that Napoleon was the most powerful of 3 consuls framce had at the time. A Doctator is also from the roman system where one person was given absolite power for 6 months until they had to step down, this was usually reserved for times o crisis such as with Hannibal
4:20 I mean it's more like France came to them

15:40 Communism is a completely different Mode Of Production and society from what we have today. According to Marxist theory, humanity has gone through 4 main Modes of Production. 1. Primitive Communism, when we were hunter-gatherers, we didn't own property and have social classes like we do today. 2. Slave Societies, when the Production of Societies infrastructure was made by slaves and other lower social classes, while the slave owners/establishment lived of their labour. 3. Feudalism, when we had the classic king at the top and peasants at the bottom. Peasants produce food and tools while being subject to royalty. 4. Capitalism, our current Mode of Production, when the Capitalists/Bourgeoisie live of the Surplus Value of the Working-class/Proletariat. The Proletariat live of Wage Labour by producing, distributing, etc and the Bourgeoisie live of their profit (income minus expenses) According to Marxist theory, the next Mode of Production will be Socialism. When the Proletariat takes control over our Production and democratically decide how to produce, instead of the Bourgeoisie deciding based on their unending thirst to accumulate Profits. BUT, social classes (mainly the Proletariat and the bourgeoisie) will still exist The next Mode of Production is Communism and the enormous difference between Communism and Socialism is that there does not exist any social classes, no state, no money etc. And people live by "From each, according to their ability, to each according to their needs." Socialism and Communism is NOT about everyone earning the same wage. It is to put the workers in control in order to remove wage labour and social classes altogether.
Bruh you really need to install uBlock Origin so you don’t get ad interruptions
Not sure if it was explained in the comments but when he was saying it was worth 40 million USD in 2022 he meant a single talent of silver, not the total amount Rome asked for. So 2200 would be 88 billion. 3200 Talents would be 128 billion and the 4400 talents at the end was 176 billion
I usually eat porridge for breakfast, no sugar added.
The term consul, is an old Roman Republic term for and elective president type position. The Roman republic served as model of government around the world, inc the USA. Napoleon just called himself consul but took dictatorial powers effectively a lot like the early Roman Emperors following the fall of the Republic. Effectively it was now one man rule, and democracy died.
To be fair to Bernadotte, he told Napoleon that once he became Crown Prince of Sweden he’d put Swedish interests first, regardless of his previous allegiance. The two also had a rocky past, never really getting on with each other. It also didn’t help that Bernadotte had married Napoleons first Fiancé
The Soviet Union was the biggest member of the Allied forces during the Second World War.
Kinda hard to take russia piece by piece when Russia uses Sorched earth Tactics. If they were willing to set their own capital on fire and let Napoleon take it what do you think they'd do to any city or village he would try to take? They burned everything behind them, if it couldnt be moved it was destroyed so Napoleon couldnt use it. The Soviets did the same during WW2.
Despite I've head some problems with your way of reacting in the past...I came back and watched a few of your history reactions. I even subscribed now, because I really can see, that you try to learn from the history videos and when you don't know something, you are looking it up during you are reacting. That is much more than other, similar, reaction channels are doing. You had questions about Italy and why there were little countries (Republic of Genoa) you've never heard from on the area that is Italy now. I will send you a recommendation via email for an explanation video, that will explain those questions. I hope you will react to my recommendation. Greetings Mega
Thanks for watching means a lot
Alexandre Dumas was one of Napoleon’s favorite general and the only black general in a European country at the time. So it’s a bit more complicated than that. However He did put back slavery for economic reasons on some islands..
You should react ti a great video. “Napoleon and the black General” by history dose it’s about the life of Alexander Dumas he was from Haiti.
They did Bring horses with them over the alps but Napoleon himself Rode a donkey.
Guerrillain spanish literally means “the little war”.
No Napoleon and Alexander didn’t kiss haha It was just meant to say they got along well
They did kiss
@@bigmikem1578 On the cheeks
the baby sacrificing thing was Roman propaganda and misunderstandings by archaeologists or translators. they didnt really sacrifice their children lol.
Did you catch that at the end? Lincoln expressed his support for black voting rights. By the standards of his day, Abraham Lincoln was not a racist. It is easy to criticize from the perspective of today. Ending slavery was not as simple as you seem to think. Stop being racist toward all white people. Many fought and died to end slavery, including at least one of my ancestors. You're welcome.
The use of "First" in "The First Consul" is to denote Napoleons higher status relative to the other two consuls. Similar to the presidents wife being called the "First Lady". The position of "Consul" comes from the Roman republic, so the first chronological consul would have been a bit over 2 thousand years before Napoleon. Love your vids btw, always get me laughin
Thanks for watching❤️❤️ and thank for the explanation that make more sense for us now 💯👌👌
Russia in 2024 - feudal underdeveloped and stuck in the past
You can never escape your past
CNN education
@@brazzyfit more like hands on real life experience. What's yours? Tucker's podcast probably.
@ekaf1735 no, i'm actually russian. Why don't you tell me about MY country?
@brazzyfit OK. Sit down, my sweet summer child. Feudal: Putin stopped local elections in his so called "federation", he gave all state corporations to his most loyal friends and made them billioners. And couple of his former security guards became governors. Then elections became such a joke that he decided to bring them back. Now his guys just win the elections everywhere even if people in the territory see them for the first time. It's textbook feudalism. And don't get me started on whatever his sh*tty deal with Kadyrov is about. Underdeveloped: does it even need explanation? All Russia exports is resources and weapons that were made by Soviet scientists a long time ago. Stuck in the past: you all still live in 1945. Congrats, you actually managed to win a war and you still can't move on since then. Oh, and move on from USSR. It's more than 30 years already. Everyone else did, you and Belarus are the only ones who can't. Ещё тупые вопросы будут про "твою страну"? Следует знать про свою страну такие очевидные вещи. Больше отвечать не буду, твоё промытое содержимое черепной коробки не моя проблема.
I just want to clarify one thing about evolution. It's not individual organisms that change over time. It's actually the population. So the question "where are our ancestors?" doesn't make sense. Our ancestors (as a group) became us (as a group) over time. In the same way as Americans of 19th century produced modern Americans and disappeared (science can't explain it). A population may split, so each part will go its own way. A population may also collapse, ending an evolutionary branch. Branches that are relatively close to each other may mix up. There's no such stuff as cows giving birth to pigs only to mysteriously disappear afterwards.
Jews don’t hate black people, Israel literally has hundreds of thousands of black people in it. Also the war with Gaza is only because Hamas attacked Israel. 🇮🇱❤️🧔🏿
You sure about that my friends cause all my experience with Jews was racism
10:38 this does not contradict the bible. Time scales in heaven are different so when they say god made the earth in 7 days thats not human days. Thats like millions of years. Also life can come from the ocean but humans were still made on land through evolution. I wouldnt say the bible is word for word accurate but its a guideline and science is what we use to find things for ourselves. My opinion is that god created us with scientific knowledge and curiosity so we can figure out life. Religion and science can and have workrd together.
You have proof of this theory
Your theory seems more like a far fetched explanation for an obvious wrong statement in the bible.
ya'll some fools lmao but its funny
I had a thought this morning that I needed to have confirmed. It was simply, "Does literally everyone in the world have a RUclips channel now where they post inane commentary?" Thanks for confirming this for me.
Thanks you for watching
The reason there isn't much related to Africa and similarly Native Americans is because the majority of major events from modern human history come from Eurasia and North Africa. As modern Homo sapiens evolved, they moved to find new places to live. The sapiens who moved into Eurasia settled down much faster than those who continued to move into northern Europe, far West Asia, deep into Africa and into the Americas. That is why early farming and agriculture started around North Africa and the Middle East. That is where early humans, who were dark skinned still, settled down first. They then had to continue to travel to populate the world and spread knowledge. Because the people who settled first stayed in their spots, they advanced much faster. It's why Egypt was so advanced, whereas Southern Africa was still pretty much tribal as groups of humans were still settling slowly while others kept traveling South. This same thing was happening to the Native Americans. Groups who settled early advanced faster than the tribes who continued to travel. This also happened to the Germanic tribes of Northern Europe who were still tribal until they finally settled. Early humans were dark skinned no matter where they lived. Southern Europe, Middle East, or Northern Africa. All early achievements humans did to succeed as humans were made by those people. So much of this video is about all human history. This includes the creation of all early societies as the human population boomed. The early settlers had more time to record their history and make their empires such as Egypt, India, or China. People still traveling don't have recorded history nearly as long as the people who settled. Because of this, as I said, much of Africa and the Native Americans don't have the same records that Eurasia and North Africa do. They were building their societies as others were still moving around finding places to make their homes. Much of the history these traveling people have is oral. Because of this much has been lost over time and isn't reliable. That's why a video like this doesn't contain much. It's mostly scarce outside of large early settlements that lasted until written language became popular and we had actual records elsewhere.
If humans all suddenly disappeared, there would probably never be another species to become similar to us. Even another primate species. They wouldn't need to. We evolved the way we did as a response to the pressures at the time. The other primates evolved to fit a different environment, the ones they are still in today. They simply have no pressure to evolve the traits we evolve. They are evolving similar traits, however, and many primate species are in a stone age currently. Humans are not the "goal" of evolution either. We evolved to fit the environmental pressures, but we didn't have to evolve the way we did. We just happened to get one of the many ways that could have worked. If we disappeared or went back in time to try again, humans might not have evolved at all, or we could have died in place of something better suited than we were. A chimp is evolved specifically to fit a jungle habitat. They won't evolve into human like animals in that jungle because they survive just fine as it is. Our last common ancestor with chimps split because our two populations went into different environments. We moved into a savanna, and they moved deeper into the jungle. Those two different populations of the same ancestor went on to evolve to fit two different environments. We evolved to fit the savanna, and the chimps and bonobos evolved for jungle life.
