Annie Fenn, M.D., is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist who initially specialized in menopausal health. After practicing medicine for more than 20 years, she realized that helping people change what they eat was a more powerful health intervention than prescribing pills or doing procedures. She traded her stethoscope for an apron and returned to school to study culinary arts in Mexico, Italy, and at the Culinary Institute of America.
In 2015, Dr. Fenn founded the Brain Health Kitchen, an evidence...

These men are sharing the truth! I’ve been eating a WFPB diet since I turned 55! I’m now 65 with no health issues! I take no medications and I feel better than when I was younger! I have a twin sister who started getting a WFPB diet with me but after 6 years went back to eating a standard American diet (S.A.D.) and many people see a difference in our appearance. She’s only 5 minutes older but looks 5 years older because of her diet compared to mine. Changing my way of eating made a huge difference in my life!❤

I’m 70 and I try my best to live a lifestyle that Dr Ornish, Dr Barnard. and Dr Esselstyn promote. I find this lifestyle to be incredibly healthy. When I began this journey 15 years ago I had atrial fibrillation, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high blood glucose, and I was obese. To have all of these conditions be reversed in a relatively short amount of time was nothing less than miraculous for me. To be 70 and lean, having all of my numbers to be normal or better than normal is astounding. To live this way takes intentionally. Many years ago I use to have periods of depression. This lifestyle creates within me a sense of peace, gratitude, and solitude. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Todd from Seattle.

I love this. Thank you for your research. I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s and inhaled a lot of weed as a kid around my parents. Started smoking it quite a bit at 17 into my early 20’s but then I would have anxiety attacks and episodes of psychosis after the fact. I just stay away from it now. Not putting any blame on my parents but did inhaling second hand smoke in a closed space (a cars interior for example) have an effect as a very young child? And can second hand smoke effect others in a small space? Just curious. And thank you again for your research, I find it fascinating and I’m glad you are putting this information out there.

I love the example of the 36 holes in the roof to be identified and plugged, but we should remember not to try and plug all possible holes by default, just because some may be easy to do. Let's not over-supplement people if they are not deficient in any particular vitamin or mineral. There will probably be very few (if any) Alzheimer's patients that will have exactly the same treatment regimen prescribed, even though they will mostly all have the same symptoms, aka Alzheimer's Disease.

The algorithms actually can and do naturally take a visitor powerfully to content that's beneficial and educational. But it's up to the individual to set this positive algorithmic scenario in motion. The algorithms led me to this video for instance. There's a larger sociocultural problem that tinkering with and regulating social media companies cannot solve. Algorithms will brilliantly and effortlessly take a person to the greatest fine arts of all periods, the deepest discussions by renowned academics, etc., etc. etc. just the same as to trash. It's up to the individual to choose their social media algorithmic path. Which begs the larger question of why such a mass of people chooses fizzy junk rather than substance. Some new scrolling delay software as described would greatly upset the result of positive or educational result searches. This is a sociocultural problem which cannot be resolved with hacky solutions such as scroll delay software. Must take a larger view of the addiction problem. In this light, addiction can really be the best thing that can happen to a person as all they must do is steer the addiction trait in a positive direction, and it will just run by itself.

Love your sharing of your client’s strategies, where the rubber meets the road in the search for solutions: The Infinite Quantity Problem = Set time limits - Only play on certain days of week (e.g., 3days/week, 2h/day); Potency Problem = Never play a certain addictive game; Novelty Problem = Only play with friends. Also separate keyboard for gaming vs school work.

Dr. Steven Gundry said in his AHS 2016 presentation that those with ApoE4 on the Ornish low fat, high carbohydrate diet made their heart disease markers worse. He says that ApoE4s need to avoid both saturated fat and carbohydrates and instead be on a high monounsaturated fat diet of olive oil and vegetables. So no fruits or starches. I do not like fish, lean meat, avocados, or olive oil, so am I going to be confined to a high MUFA diet to prevent heart disease and Alzheimer's because of ApoE4?

I wonder you may talk also about the internal feelings of what people feel watching for example concert 10-20 times online, enjoying the artistry and analysis of the music and performance and charisma of the protagonists, I know people consider online concerts better because the camera shows all the details of musicians..... and actually seeing the same concert live just once, going to the theater.... That what are the scientific information of feelings, as people now may use the Heartmath devices of what is happening in the brain, the alpha, beta brain waves. Actually, I don't want the device but people may say the difference of the excitement and value or the difference of seeing the real live concert and seeing it just online. There should be probably some difference of psychology or the dopamine release or seeing the reality... And also you may discuss how to promote the art hobbies virtually without living life virtually, but only share the artworks or music virtually.

Some men said a good point about eating properly that when someone says don't think of a pink elephant, the first thing you do is that you think of pink elephant because the subconscious mind is not able to process negative information... Maybe we should say avoid this or that but not Don't do this or that.

Sounds too good to be true? Read on. Pricey Protocol Not Proven to Prevent or Reverse Alzheimer’s, Says UCSF Neurologist Promising Research May Have Been Sullied by Shoddy Science By Suzanne Leigh A protocol comprising dietary supplements and lifestyle changes that claims to prevent or reverse Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive decline has drawn media fanfare and critical acclaim from health gurus and even physicians. But endorsement of these claims is frequently based on three published papers - all of which share the hallmarks of second-rate science, according to a cognitive neurologist at UC San Francisco. In her editorial in the Lancet Neurology, published in May 2020, Joanna Hellmuth, MD, of the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, said the “Bredesen protocol” - named by neurologist Dale Bredesen, MD - has reeled in patients and their families seeking hope outside of the physician’s office for a disease that is currently incurable. The Bredesen protocol is propounded in his 2017 bestseller and can be accessed for $1,399, which includes protocol assessments, lab tests and contact with practitioners, who provide the regimen for additional fees.
