    how to find out which ND filter you should use in which situation? is it just a feeling or can you see/calculate that somehow? thanks.

    • @Max-Kuz
      @Max-Kuz 10 дней назад

      I’m sure there is a way to specifically calculate it, but once you get used to using them, you can get an understanding of which situation will take what filter. A standard 4-6 pack should be perfect. Then it’s just understanding that on a super bright, sunny day, you’ll use closer to an ND 64, whereas a cloudy, darker day, you may just rock an ND4 or no filter at all. It’s not perfect, but usually I look to rough the camera with the nd filter I choose before flying, so I can change it if I need. Let me know if you have any other questions

    Thank you for the easy to understand and also short video, you answered a lot of questions I had. I got into drones basically by accident. The place I work had this drone that was built by engineering students 10+ years ago. They wanted to return it to functionality. I was given two boxes of parts, and the only experience I had with drones was a dromida ominus I bought on a whim around 2013. Over the last six months I've learned about flight controllers, radios, analog video transmitters, analog video cameras, diversity receivers, gps antennas, gimbals, gimbal controllers, and a whole host of other things. I bought a DJI Mini 2 so I could practice flying, only to find out the mini-2 is almost completely idiot proof while the drone I had been working on was ten kilograms of noisy whirling death without anything that would keep me from flying it into a wall or tree. I've gained some skills and reflexes for flying, and now I'm considering a career change.

      Lmaoooo I haven’t looked into it too much, but in my opinion, it’s all just some hype. There is no way the US will ban DJI drones anytime soon. • @Oddman1980

  • @CGDreamsTutorials

    Very direct and realistic comparison. Prior to buying a DJI Mini 3 Pro I had got two cheaper drones, one as a upgrade to the prior. Although there was a improvement neither could represent in every aspect what you get and experience from a DJI drone. In my opinion cheap drones are very dangerous, and do not give off a good experience of what its like to fly a stable drone with safety features. In my experience cheap drones from market places that make bold claims, should not even be given or sold as toys.

    • @Max-Kuz
      @Max-Kuz 18 дней назад

      I couldn’t agree more. The cheap drone instantly lost control and could’ve easily hit somebody. Definitely not a good representation of drone flying. @@Max-Kuz The only reason I started with drones is to film myself during a bike tour once a year. Why would people spend $1000 for 2 minutes video they only watch themselves and a handful family members? We don't all work for National Geographic. Of course the new DJI Mini 4k is not expensive. Still, is it worth $200 more if that L200 thing does the job? Well to some degree. It won't fly 5km in a storm. If you have the cash sure get a DJI. But for someone like young folks going on a camping trip on a budget you may want to do a review? And you'll have a give-away to lift up your channel. BTW I'm glad you call the Mini 4 Pro a professional drone. Some idiot 'experts' here on YT believe it's great for beginners because their mother now got them a new DJI Air.

I’ll definitely look into that drone. For that cheap, that is very good bang for your buck. I have also heard that before. I think that’s a load of bologna. It’s 4k, 30fps. At the end of the day, if it’s decent quality and someone is willing to pay for it, i would consider it a professional drone. And at $1,000 bucks-ish, god I hope that’s not what a beginner has to spend to get into it

    Well done, but with all due respect u dont start a drone business when u dont know anything about drones, never flew and expect that commercial license will teach u everything, start a drone business when u have been shooting for years on a drone, broke several drones and learned from ur mistakes and moved on and then realized u r ready to SERVE customers (even get paid immediately Not for free) top notch ! And not taking chances with customers or Trying while ur shooting in their field, because it will give sub-satisfactory results. I did that when i wanted to sell pokemon cards when i was in high school, or any other business that i wasn't so serious about, not for a Drone business which demands lots of practice, creativity, and attention to details, its not even a business and ur not just a drone pilot, ur an artist orchestrating your flight and your presense with the client and thats more than just a guy who can fly a drone !...

    • @Max-Kuz
      @Max-Kuz Месяц назад

      Wonderful perspective. I couldn’t disagree more! But that’s the great part about an open platform like this where we can all share our thoughts and opinions. Preface: I did fly for over a year, had and crashed 1 previous drone before getting my Part 107. That being said, if you wait for years into your droning, you are waiting wayyyyy too long. If you have a unique skill that would benefit and “serve” others, just because you aren’t the best at it doesn’t mean you don’t have a unique value proposition. Lots of people need basic drone work and aren’t willing to pay luxury prices. And I’m curious how it is where you are from, but in the US, tons of photographers and videographers have drones who are not trying to be aerial artists. They are trying to get a job done and that’s who you have to compete against. Just some thoughts. I’m glad we can have our own opinions and have conversations about it!

    Very informative video. I checked out your impressive website. How do you get around the Part 107 regulations about flying over crowds of people? It is my impression that it is OK to do so in transit, but loitering bumps up the standards on the certification of the drone you are using.

    • @Max-Kuz
      @Max-Kuz 2 месяца назад

      The website is a work in progress. But I’ve found more use in cold reach outs to find clients. My understanding of the rule is that you can’t fly directly over groups, so the drone wouldn’t land on anyone. I try to fly around groups of people, not on top of them. @Max-Kuz 2 месяца назад

      @@alienman7866 yes, that was probably some bad advice, so I edited my comment. To my understanding though, if you are not flying “directly over people” ie. if your drone crashed, it wouldn’t land on anyone, then you’re ok to fly. Another thing I do, I will stand under my drone and walk around. I use a high visibility vest, so people tend to stay away from my area. What kinds of jobs are you guys referring to specifically?

    • @alienman7866
      @alienman7866 2 месяца назад

      @Max-Kuz I worked it out that way as the law is only applicable when the drone is directly over a limb etc of a person. Good idea standing under it and using visuals to help the crowd with your presence. If you do ever need to fly directly over top of folks, get the proper waivers. That's what I'm told is the easiest way to wrap my head around it. I'm doing alot of public events some private but most are public events, concerts, food truck events, alot of motorcycle meetings and block parties etc.

      @@Max-Kuz you can’t bundle drones in together and make generalisations like that. Not all drones are DJI drones and the law does not differentiate between a DJI drone or similar and an FPV drone or homebuilt drone. For the most part the only classification is weight. You could build your own drone from scratch and would just have to follow the exact same rules as people who bought one. Here in the UK it is only drones under 250g that can go near people (again not over crowds) for heavier drones you need to keep a certain distance from people and property. There are some extra licenses you can get to let you fly closer but most people don’t bother.

      @@conorstewart2214 what generalization? Sure all drones must follow the same laws, but depending on how they are built, they are allowed to be in different spaces. I personally fly dji drones. With those you cannot fly directly over crowds, but you can fly around them.
