SJ AB beslutade dra in de lokdragna IC tågen mellan Stockholm och Oslo och ersätta dessa med X2 snabbtåg. Under sommaren 2015 spelade jag in upp mot 4 timmar video på Värmlandsbanan för att dokumentera framförallt SJ loktåg. Givetvis syns andra operatörer som Green Cargo, Tågab, Hector mfl. Visar bla. Degerfors och de båda SJ förmiddagstågen till Oslo resp. Stockholm, lokväxling i Kil, Hasselfo...

The Swedish company Skandinaviska Jernbanor, SKJB has a special train service between Gothenburg and Stockholm/Upsala and vv. This Blue Train normally travels the main double tracked Gothenburg-Stockholm/Upsala line. Filmed on an overcasted, almost windless day, 11th October 2015 with some light rain showers. This video shows how an extra Infranord train Östersund-Mora with empties, takes on the climbing up towards Gråtbäck and the highest point on Inlandsbanan 3 km south of Gråtbäck, Sweden. Inspelat fredagen den 29 augusti vid 18-19 tiden. Först passerar Tågabs Göteborg-Dalarna 7004 och cirka 1 timme senare ett tomvagnståg med ett av Rush Rails Traxx lok. Nästa bevakade driftplats är Hällefors.

My first trial and error "movie" with a DSLR camera, earlier only used for pictures. Date 28th of May 2014 at Strömtorp rwy station, Sweden. Tjena. Kollar olika videos med tåg och ramla över denna video. En fråga om du vet svaret: Varför har Lightyear-loket strömavtagarna nere? Tid : 7:20. Jag personligen tror att det loket är ett extralok som bara följer med och ska vid senare tillfälle kopplas om till ett annat tåg där det är lokbrist.

A DSLR, Canon Eos 5D Mk III and a tripod. Sound via a Zoom H5 recorder..
tram90 I thought it was a DSLR, since you get these // \\ lines when filming fast moving objects from the side. If you look at 0:52 there is a clear example. I'm trying to figure out how to use my DSLR for trainspotting. For now I'm not panning (so only front *cut* back views) What lens are you using?
trains-and-trucks I became aware of the problem you mention. The shoots was made mostly to get famililar with the sound equipment. The lens is a Canon EF24-105L f4.
tram90 I understand. It's rather weird looking at this the first time. But I can work around it using only front and back views. (or use my videocamera) It is a shame, since the footage you get with a DSLR is very nice. Nice lens, especially for video. For sound I personally use the Rode videomic stereo pro, both for my videocam and my DSLR and hook them up to the cam mic input. (so I don't have to sync the sound afterwards)
