Cycle Volta
США
Добавлен 28 мар 2019
CYCLE VOLTA seeks freedom and fun on two wheels, covering electric-assist bicycles, micromobility, and electric motorcycles.
VOLTA evokes the electric nature of our cycling pursuit, but it is also an Italian word for “turn” commonly used in poetry to describe a shift in thought or argument, which we think is appropriate in our changing world of transportation.

Motor noise comparison of high-power eMTB, light-power eMTB, and the new Fuel EXe.

Trek may have just reinvented the ebike powertrain.
That might sound like hype, and we at Cycle Volta won’t know that for sure until we get to test ride the Fuel EXe, Trek’s newly launched 2023 trail eMTB. Still, at least based on Trek’s claims, this debut marks not just a significant jump for one of the world’s largest bicycle brands, but for ebikes of every kind.
To understand why and how, you need to take a step back and look at how most current ebike powertrains work.
Any bicycle driven by a chain, whether electrically assisted or not, relies on very old tech. A chain, driven by the power of your legs...

Get them while you still can!!! Yamaha e-bikes are leaving the US!!!!!!😢
$2199 right now with an extra battery! I just bought a new Polygon T8, but may need to spring for this as well.
just got one
@@stevendunnuck How are you liking it so far? Did you compare the Pro to the Moro 05 and 07? Do you know if the ground clearance to the bottom of the PW-X2 motor is higher or lower than that of the PW-X3 on the Moro 05 and 07? I wonder which of the two motors is more reliable. The dealer said both motors are equally reliable. I'm thinking of buying either the Moro Pro, 05, or 07. Have fun with your new Moro!
@@archstanton9703 will receive it today. And I would've gotten the 05 ismf I knew it was also on sale however I'm sure the pro will get the job done
@@stevendunnuck Hey, where did you bought yours from?
@@88jbc Crowley cycles . Got here in 3 days from Colorado. Live in California
Wow, love the fact you can use the front triangle for regular and fat bike. Dual use genius! Keep up the great work.
is this comany still in business?
Yep. Smoothest ebike i have ridden. Pedal assist feels super natural
How' fast u have it
Not only do I still have my dream bike (A Foes Weasel we built circa 2000) ... It's still running the original (22+yo) Gazzaloddi's (as per my walkthru vid).
Nice bro! I still have my 99 Tube DHS with the F1 fork and a 24 inch rear wheel!
@@Reenkitty Foes made some great looking bikes... At least the DHS had an adjustable seat angle... The foes does tend to make you feel like your pedaling a tricycle (pedals in front) so not so hot for seated climbs.. but otherwise so much fun. I always wanted some USD forks but they never really reached 6" without reaching platinum prices.
@@TheButlerNZ I originally had a boxxer on her but I was working at a shop and was offered the F1 at cost, which was still a grand way back then! The Foes fork made the bike though, it was butter. I wish I could get it serviced but can't find parts.
@@Reenkitty I picked up a spare set of 99 Boxxers at the local tip shop for $5... Big score down a stanchion but it will go on a street hack nicely.
My 96 Weasel is still hanging in my shed. Rode that thing for 20 years. Been thinking about restoring it modernizing a bit. It’s such a short wheelbase though and rides very high.
500 watt battery lame !
Just bought one!
Good day, I like your video. What area were you riding in?
still ride my weasel and fly. looking into an ebike, but thinking on trying a mid-drive on one of those frames first.
You sure seem to be working hard for an E Bike…?
That's what I was thinking too. I just watched another video where a guy didn't even break a sweat riding his Yamaha ebike.
i still have my foes lts frame from around 1994.
Thanks! your sizing chart was helpful.
Looks like Colorado...
I bet it's California.
Its Sky park in Cali
California? I hope a wildfire doesn't get it.
California
You should do your reviews in a higher assistance mode, so you're not gasping for breathe as you speak 😉Also, you never actually showed what the bike LOOKS LIKE!
where is this? this looks sooo fun!
So cool to see a bike that is still made in USA. I am looking into Ebikes and want USA 🇺🇸 made.
Where is this place, trails look really fun!
looks like santas village
A quick stab to the pedal can be like 160 rpm? You lost all cred with that remark!
mmm, 160 RPM is 2.7 revs/second so if you went 180 degrees from top to bottom on one leg that'd be 0.19 seconds - seems reasonable. but also he said "up to" which really means the designers built it around the maximum a human can do, so even if that particular thing is implausible, the motor will keep up with you if you're slower than that
Lovely bike
Man that looked like fun 🤩
Where are you riding? It looks super fun
It's Skypark (Santa's Village) in California. Great place, no uplift but easy enough to pedal back up
Good to see Brent get out of the shop and ride!!
Swt ride Mr Foes’s!!!!!
Rad bikes!
good but pricey. the panniers are pain in the butt to use. too deep - too narrow on the top.
Great review! Thanks for posting.
Do you have helmet? Corona is dangerous.
how was it above the max assist level of 20 mph? id you feel held back at approx 25 mph?
Wow, this is awesome
I've been pondering ebikes for almost a year, but couldn't quite find one that would do what I want, do what I need, and still be somewhat affordable. I think this might be it.
