To do a prank like this, you first have to come to a realization: "Yes, my husband would believe I'm that dumb."

They actually DO offer to fill your tires with pure nitrogen. Is it a scam? Yes in my opinion, because the atmosphere is 78% nitrogen. But the idea is valid: The molecules are larger, so it takes longer for the air to seep out the tiny pores in the rubber. When they do this, they change your filler cap to a green one, so they know to fill with nitrogen next time. (Look around for those green valve stem caps, someone got suckered.)
