Regarding a dead power outlet - I'd check the fuse again and see if it is blown (if blown, you can see a "break" in the metal sealed in the plastic). I would suspect that if the new fuse is blown, you have a direct short in your socket. Possibly caused by excessive heat, or physical damage to the socket itself. Any damaged could have been caused by inserting the plug. My port in my SUV also blown, due to physical damage causing a direct short within the socket (easily checked with a multi-meter). Cheap to replace, but a real bugger to get too! Have to disassemble the dash to get it out. Check RUclips for any socket replacement videos.

I’m having the exact same issue it started a month ago. I have a 2016 CRV. Since it’s getting cooler out now and the AC works great for the first 20 minutes that it’s on I haven’t taken it in yet. Not sure if I should get it fixed now or wait until spring….thanks for the video.🙏🏼

Socket in my 2017 touring stopped working then returned. Suggestion did you find socket to tight when inserting zinger plug that might have done it. I’ve learned don’t force plugs into sockets. It might return if you juggle plugs in the future.

Just don't slam on your breaks when you go through the tunnel. Every out of stater does, and it causes backups for us locals.

My 2018 ( bought new ) - A/C just started to blow hot air . Reading through the comments I think my local mechanic is my best option - paying $480 for a free seal Crazy rip off .

I have a 2014 Honda CRV. I've tried the bed idea. There is no way I can get 72 inches of length. My back seats go down 60-40. The middle section does not go down. Yes, I put the front seat all the way forward. I marvel at folks who accomplish this seemingly (for me) impossible feat.

a lot of room for car camping! I have been debating between Sportage, Rav 4, and CR-V. Sucks that you need to buy the highest trim for this car to have the smart cruise control and highway driving assist.

Can a 6.2 feet person fit comfortably in your bed? Wish you could of talked about height or just busted kut a tape measure to show how long the bed is and how tall can a person fit. Very few people do that. Inwas considering getting CR-V 2010- 2013 and wonder if my 6.2 body would get to sleep comfortably there like you have it or wound need to sleep like across more in an angle from one side to other side

Bottom line, we are paying the insurance of the Non-insured - Rather stinks. Another example of where the system gets it wrong. People break the law by being uninsured, and accountability and rules are unenforced. If they have devices that prevent drunks for starting their cars, there should be a device (card swipe) to show insurance is in effect. Think of all the money, lives, and hassles that would be saved.

I have the same issue, and have to pay for the half of the repair. It's obviously an issue of the manufacture, and recall is needed. I am wondering if there is a class action lawsuit or where to report to force them to do the recall

Ok, in the first 30 seconds, I was convinced you are a genius! I wonder how many people who own this model CRV did not know they could make the floor completely flat, let alone still store the cargo mat! I am a lover of Honda CRVs, (I have had 3 older models, 2002, 2004 and my current one a 2006.) I'm pretty sure that the newer style will be in my future when (if) my 2006 ever stops running. I am so glad I came across your video because I love to car camp in mine now, and was dreading going to the new style CRV. I have had exclusively Hondas all my adult life and usually buy them used. Not all the manuals are passed down thru owners so this kind of information is really important to car owners/campers. Thank you for this video,!

I appreciate this heads up! this is the 2nd time I have bought a Honda, My first one was in 2010 didn't even have it 6 months and gave it back and I have only driven Toyota since and never had a problem. During the pandemic used vehicles were hard to find and I put it off getting a new one and finally bought one last year and got the 2022 CRV AWD Hybrid. I have not noticed a problem yet but that is great to know because I was already thinking about going back to a Toyota sienna all wheel drive hybrid instead... I always have had better luck with Toyotas and you just solidified my issues with Honda. Thank you for sharing!
