“Yes, but…!” Tool to expand language production
This has helped so much this year with encouraging students to produce larger chunks of (sheltered) language to build fluency. I have recently had the pleasure and privilege of covering one of my amazing colleague’s middle school classes and because their regular teacher is quite possibly the greatest to ever do it, the kids were *SO* ready to receive any sort of tool that helps them grow their proficiency. This little tip of “wait, how do you say ‘Yes he is!’” has gone over so well.
