unfortunately with the weather being so bad lately in Nova Scotia we were out of time to get out strips in. so we picked the warmerst least rainy day to do it, but that comes with consequences....human and bee.

Back of your hand whenever you touch something electric, so your hand can't clamp down around it.
Are electric fences dc power?

@@patriciapittman5196 "Just the finger@ doesn't matter. You're handing over control of your arm to save a few bucks. At least give yourself the best chance. "Very low voltage" that's debatable, even when it's working as designed, but these clowns are doing this because they don't know if its working as intended (and for views)
@Channel7331 haha if you look at the poster I'm that "clown". It was never meant for views. I post to youtube to share on my fb and it ended up in reels 😂 There is no harm from.that low voltage, solar powered electric fence lol
@@patriciapittman5196 better safe than sorry, though, and to avoid propagating an unhealthy habit. - It's low voltage for you, but someone who sees this video might be like "Huh, wonder how my grandpa's fence stings" and touch one that's meant to hold in bulls and cattle, touch it with an open hand and risk dying. Would be a contender for the Darwin awards, true, but still. It's a good idea to be responsible. - Same way you'd never point a gun at someone even if you've cleared the chamber and confirmed it's out of ammo. It's to train responsible behaviors.

For anyone who wants to try it, always touch the wire with the back of your hand, as the electricity causes your muscles to tense up and you could risk having your hand lock up around the wire and then its a bitch to try to get them off of it
The electric fence unit should be pulseing the shocks to give muscles a chance to release and avoid grabs
