flake tobacco: break off a quarter inch strand. put larger piece back in can. tear strand into 3 or4 pieces, place the pieces into the palm of your hand. grind the pieces into a loose ball by moving hands- palm to palm in a circular motion. the result is the tobacco has become very fine strands but in shape of wee ball. lighting is easier and the ash will be even and fine.

quick question: what kind of Quark are you utilizing? Magerquark or Halbfett or Rahm? Variation is from <10% to >50%. From your explanation I would conluce low fat. But want to be sure.

Greg pease told me the best way to hydrate or rehydrate tobacco is especially if you’ve got a lot dump it out into a fairly large side bowl moist in a towel, distilled water and lay that towel across the top of the bowl. You have to check it but it does work and for the love of God don’t put fruit in your tobacco. I’m sure you’ll get that advice. It is wrong and dumb. Greg is pretty cool. You can ask him directly. He’s just that kind of guy.

Killer pipa! I've always admired Sadik Yanik's skull meers, too. We talked briefly about Amphora's Kentucky in another thread, but they also have a good middle-of-the-road VA that is not bitey and smokes well. I think Mac Baren's HH VA flake is one of my favorites. Too bad about MacBaren - stock up while you can! I've enjoyed your content thus far. Thanks for sharing with us. I’ve never even remotely heard of this. Is it normal where you live? Some people I know use honey, but most people don’t use anything. I like to get my pipes with raw briar bowls that I build my own cake my way I’m just curious what is the exact purpose of this?

Been really wanting to try this one. I have a very generous friend who is sending me a ton of samples and this is one of the many. I’m sure I’ll be stocking up on it just like he does. I have a friend who bought me a few blends from this brand, including aromatics. He hasn’t handed over them yet. Looking forward to trying them. Here is a fun and weird fact: Although it is a Turkish brand, produced by a Turkish manufacturer (gladora tobacco as you showed), they only export their tobacco. Saying this as a Turkish :)

A very nice tobacco pipe indeed! It’s a Briar pipe for sure. My main problem with traditional smoking pipes like this!?, is that they tend to Gurgle a lot because of the pipe tobacco’s moisture build up inside of the pipe’s bowl and there’s really no going around to getaway from this UNLESS you’re using either a Falcon or Kirsten radiator tobacco pipe!

So far watching your posts I am not familiar with any of the tobaccos you have presented. That’s ok because I have become quite content with my Carter Hall. My pipe is a Savenelli Bing’s favorite which I enjoy filling and smoking. I want to complement you on your tree and also wish you a Merry Christmas though I know it is past where you are. I can say Happy New Year though.
