      Thanks Scott. I was just talking to a fella on the Face of The Book Kawasaki group and told him I might have put that switch in the off position, because that made sense in my mind at the time. The Service Manual says to put it in the on Position. So I have to take it off and check it again. Sure would make a whole bunch of sense if I did leave it in the off position thus not being bale to reset it.

    I would guess with that Hyundai that’s it’s manufacturer or dealer recommended service. Looks like from a google search that they want you to bring it in at 7.5k, 15k, 30k, 37.5k, 48k and 96k miles. So if that matches her miles that’s probably it. Plus it might not throw codes to your scan tool since it’s not a vehicle malfunction, just recommended service. Just a guess.

    I bought the same set. But for the long reach cable tool I had to buy a name brand one... It cost the same as the entire set.Threw the "set" one away. Name brand looks identical but is higher quality & works well. IT is the ONLY way to remove very hard to reach clamps. It clamps onto them, locks & hold the clamp tight enough that you can use it to move the clamp down the hose. It'll flat SAVE you!

    • @OldManTinkers
      @OldManTinkers 9 месяцев назад

      your right the Dealership Said it would require more Diagnostics. But, it ran fine when he took it home and he drove probably another 1000 miles and still no problem then sold the car and the immobilizer light was still flashing. IMO maybe if we purchased a Body control module and had that programed maybe it would have shut the Immobilizer light off, he just did not want to spend any more on it. Thanks for your comment.

    • @OldManTinkers
      @OldManTinkers 9 месяцев назад

      Did you see the part where I found the wire harness has been dropped down on to the exhaust? I think the burned O2 sensor wire shorted the ECM. Now the Immobilizer light is another story that we did not get further into.

    • @Tman317
      @Tman317 9 месяцев назад

      @OldManTinkers Yes, I did see that! I figured that had something to do with it. You'd think the ECM fuse would've protected against shorting the ECM out, but who knows.

    • @OldManTinkers
      @OldManTinkers 9 месяцев назад

      Exactually what I thought there again the O2 Sensor fuse the one with the grounded wire didn't blow. there again there is 4 circuits that get the same power wire from the power train module but yet it fried in the ecm??? so who knows. @@Tman317

    My biggest issue with these clamps is that most of the time they're too big to work where I need them. The ratcheting is okay if you can get it to stay on the clamp which I can't most of the time. Other day I had to remove a clamp on the hose connected to the vent solenoid. None of these clamps would work because you have to be at a right angle to the clamp and I only had about 6 inches of clearance. Should have just bought some right angle pliers, or better would be like small welder clamps. The only piece in the set I found useful is the hose prier. Wasn't sure about using it but much more useful than trying to use a screwdriver. hf has a set of these pry tools which work too for small hoses like vacuum lines. Just have to make sure you don't poke a hole.
