The music and the lyrics resonate and make me want to listen to more of your work.
Thanks for your kind words, and for subscribing! This song has always been special to me. You'll find a bunch more songs on my channel, along with up-close gator videos.
Amazing footage here! I first noticed your “Heron vs Fish” encounter. Wow, that looks like a huge fish (it almost seems too wide to fit! Do you know what kind?) the bird caught in her mouth! Were people walking right nearby too? The fish was struggling, but near 3:28 the hungry Heron managed to fully consume (alive?!) it all okay? It looked like the unlucky thing was desperately kicking before sliding down that long throat! I wonder, does the large fish stand any chance of escaping if eaten in that condition? Maybe it can turn around inside the elastic throat/stomach and has a chance of survival here.
Thanks for watching! I don't know what kind of fish it is, sorry. There is a road (in a small community) directly behind the Great Blue Heron. It did swallow the fish while it was still alive. I think the heron's throat muscles would prevent it from coming back up. I'm sure it died quickly once swallowed. Thanks again for watching, and check my channel for more videos of the Dora Canal.
Could have been another Bruce Springsteen. But I love McGuffey Lane.
I Sure would love to wrap my Arms around you...🤗💞🎄🌟
Wow, what camera did you make this video with? Very nice & transparent footage.
iPhone 13 Pro. Thanks for watching!
17:40 is when band is there
Nice video Rick. Did you catch some?
Actually, I fed them!
Good video as well!
A great performance and composition. I would like to rework this song , might change the timeline but everything else fits!
Thanks for your kind words. It’s one of our best collaborations.
Searing, awesome music! Nugen is ridiculously great on the guitar! Swabie is at peak vocal performance! LOVE this!😊
You're clearly a great judge of music! Thanks, my friend!
That dog is sitting too close to the screen! (Common parent complaint of their children in the 1960's)
Scott--she has to wear glasses now! BTW, I uploaded this video directly to Facebook (instead of linking to the RUclips video), and it has 1.7 million views there!
@@Chaparral2004 Yes, great video.
I love this. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Very nice! What camera are you using, and it looks like you have a gimbal going as well? Very smooth. However the motorcycle driver looks like he may have been drinking heavily.
1) GoPro Hero 7 2) no gimbal, just my steady scooter-driving ability. 3) of course, that's how I get my steady, scooter-driving ability (attn: Mount Dora Police, I am only kidding...)
Congratulations & Good Luck!
She is so sweet!
Beautiful!
Thanks, Mike! One of our best! And as I noted, somewhat based upon a true story from my Third Avenue days.
This is awesome.
Is that a rubber toy?
LOL! Go poke it and find out for yourself! BTW, the Facebook version of this video has over 175,000 views as of today.
I had completely forgotten about the perm toupee.
Very nice. I’m surprised you don’t have any alligators lurking in your lovely garden!
None so far, but you know Florida...
I’ll stick to the Olentangy, thank you! We have carp in Ohio…no gators!
You know what’s worse than gators down here? Fire ants!
@@Chaparral2004 - very familiar with them…did several videos for Scott’s at their research facility outside of Orlando. Nasty!
Listen to them...delightful! Thx for sharing!
Oh my Goodness! Look at all those mesuggannas! I love them!🥰
I love a saxophone.
Kathy, thanks for watching the video. That great sax part was played by Steve Willis. Check out his sax on "'A Helping Hand," a song from the same album. It's on my channel.
👍
Ich weiss, es interessiert keinem
You seem to be drawn to this song...
Nice lyrics..... good night
Thank you!
Only R.G.Wiseman, i miss you so much.
Oh my gosh! WOW!
That gator ain't nothing! I used to jump on their back...tie a rope around its mouth...the use the gator as a water ski. Lots of fun.
Wonderful song. Sad. Well done!
Great stuff. Nice tune!
Great son guys
Thanks for watching!
I remember Hinkles Donuts and Pickring's restaurant. We stayed at Wickers cottages and would go to the roller rink by the Wicker mansion. Once we stayed at Stumps cottages next to Fox Island.
Bob, I worked at Hinkle's Donuts, first for Dave Hinkle, and later Dick Ling. I also leased the business with a partner during the Bicentennial Year in 1976.
Only in Florida…at least she’s not feeding The Little Guy. Good stuff!
She almost fed her hand, if that counts!
Ruth, I love this! The word "Free" resonates deep in my soul. Free...free...free. Mae Hazelton
Love it! Hope you are well. Miss you🤗
Your voice always brings me great joy and peace.
The voice of an angel! So beautiful!!!
Awesome video
Thanks for watching!

Nice back yard! Jealous!
Mike, if you come live in our back yard, we'll feed you, too!

Also don't let social media in this world take any of your small towns away anymore. Join together and keep social media out. Seriously they will take your homes if you let them.. so don't let your small towns dissolve away stay together like the families I know. May God bless all of the farmland from sea to shining sea in the Ohio valley.
Also a shout out to John S.👍🥂
Also shout out to Chicken Morris road manager McGuffey Lane. And all the great hometown people of Ohio God bless us all. Shout out to Williamsport and New Holland Ohio.
Can't get enough of the lyrics dude so true.
@@maggykuhn3387--thanks! Please check out some of my other songs.
Yes all of them are great people and very nice people to. I just remember when I sat down with Pat Edwards in the band. Davey would look at me and say oh no here comes the story about when we got booed off stage and the crowd wanted to hear McGuffey Lane. He never wanted to talk about it but it kind of aggravated him you could tell. But most of all it's coming up on one year that Charlie Daniels passed. Met Charlie Daniels 1982 August 7th Day they played Red rocks first time. They were staying at the Ramada inn just over here off of Sims and 6th avenue. I was 17 years old and remained friends from that day 4th until the passing of taz. Keyboardist for Charlie. There was never ever I missed the show of Charlie Daniels here in Colorado. Always had meet and greet passes. 40 plus years. And Charlie would always say that's one of the best damn bands I ever heard play. The McGuffey Lane band.
Hi also I knew the Marshall Tucker band Pat Edwards and some of the band members would sit around with me and we talk about different bands on how good they are God's honest truth start talking about McGuffey Elaine around Davey Gray he'd get pissed and walk away and never let you finish the story about McGuffey Lane getting cheered on in Marshall Tucker. Marshall Tucker couldn't finish or start the show they wanted McGuffey lane.. I do believe that happened on the aqua dreams tour. And Charlie Daniels had a guest spot. For one of the songs you wrote. God's on the street the Marshall Tucker band never liked the words McGuffey lane. But always give out great respect
When I worked for Sisapa Record Company (early '90s), we had The Marshall Tucker Band on our label. Doug Gray is a good guy. McGuffey Lane was on the same bill as the MTB a number of times.
Hi Rick just wanted to make a comment. From the first time I saw McGuffey Lane. Best damn country band I ever heard and listen to still today. I was friends with the Charlie Daniels band Taz in particular keyboardist. A new Monty drummer from the outlaws. Ask any of them and they would say if they open for you you may not get the play. That is McGuffey Lane. 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching my video and for commenting. McGuffey Lane = 40+ years of greatness. Honored to write songs with John Schwab for over 30 years.
Beautiful!
Thanks, Jane!
