That whole encounter with Mission and Bastilla was what I meant by your followers can have unique dialogue with each other and the other NPCs around them. It’s a super advanced feature for how old this game actually is. I’m excited to see the rest of this series it only gets better after Tarris, this is still considered the “tutorial” area

Pretty much every companion you can get are really good, once you use them for a while they can level up with you so you can upgrade their skills and you can change out their gear and weapons. There is also a “friendship” meter with each follower so it would go up or down depending on how you treat them and other people in dialogue options. The 2 followers that you take with you can have different conversations with each other and build their own “friendship” meter too. I would always just take whatever 2 followers I wanted to see interact with each other and to the other NPCs in the area

Here’s a few tips that really helped me 1. Make sure to save as often as possible because their is no autosave so a death could set you back far. 2. When in combat don’t be afraid to pause often to make sure your companions are also doing their attacks and using their abilities sometimes the AI bugs out 3. Take your time going through new areas to explore, this game has some fun side quests and hidden items

I HIGHLY recommend you download a texture pack. Specifically the 4k upscale one or whatever it's called. AI upscale every texture, and it looks beautiful. Only texture it did poorly on is a precursor door. You'll know it by the shimmering I don't recommend the reshapes though, strays a lot from the original design, though fun all the same. It's been a while, but try 60 fps too if thats an option. Buttery smooth game
