Fish on!!!! Bay Bee
Yeahhh buddy! 🤙
Nice catchin, I just happen to have some of those, I got the Bluegill color also, along with the black backed like yours, and an older purple backed one, I think I might switch all my treble hooks with inlines
Thank you! I've caught too many bass to count on the bluegill colored one. I've had pretty good luck with all the colors I have though. They're surprisingly good jerkbaits for the price. I understand that too. Treble hooks can be a pain to deal with sometimes lol
I just picked this one up based on quite a few positive video reviews. Been fishing bass for over 30 years, most of it baitcasting and these budget baitcasters are getting better and cheaper and cheaper. It's been fun dropping a few bucks just to see how good they are. I've passed a few on to young anglers who are just starting out and building up their tackle arsenal. They're great to learn on because you've really gotta tune 'em and learn proper technique. Every one of them has been worth every penny in that regard. My only question is: what's the rush getting the fish in if you're practicing C&R? It's not just you, it's a lot of younger bass anglers. I'm not judging, you do you, I just haven't gotten an answer as to the why of it.
Nice, I think you'll be pretty happy with it at the price point. I'd have to agree with everything you said about budget casters also. If you haven't tried any of the lower end KastKing reels I'd highly recommend those too. As far as landing fish quickly goes, I do that for two reasons. The first being that the faster I land them, the less time they have to spit the hook. The other reason is that it might seem counterintuitive, but a shorter fight is actually better for the fish. Just like us, fish can experience exhaustion after exerting too much energy. If you wear them out with a long fight and then take them out of the water to unhook them, it creates more stress than a quick fight. Think about it like trying to hold your breath immediately after running a marathon compared to trying to hold your breath after a short run.
LET'S GO!!
Yessir! thanks man. Hope you've been doing good & catching fish 🤙
@AllmouthBassing you already know, never stops..lol #lifestyle
@@JoshuaDeliganis Hell yeah, good to hear it man!
Be careful putting ya hand near the hooks when they shaking
You're definitely right! Sometimes I do stupid things when handling fish but it's always best to be careful while handling and removing hooks.
I received this combo as a Christmas present. Never used a baitcaster before. I'm having trouble with casting. Any tips? I am not sure if I am doing it wrong or if I ended up getting a malfunction one.
Nice! It's a great setup to start out with. I actually like mine better than some of my higher end, more expensive ones. You probably just don't have your settings dialed in right. Since you're just learning I'd recommend setting your brake dial to somewhere between 7 & 9, and you'll adjust your tensioner nob every time you change lures. For tension, tighten it just tight enough so that if you hit your spool release, your bait falls freely, but your line doesn't over-spool once the bait hits the water. If you drop your lure straight down into the water in front of you, it should slowly sink once it hits the water, but your line should stay tight on the spool, not blow out into a birds nest. Hopefully that helps!
Any damage to the house D ?
Nah, no damage aside from a small chip in the siding from where it looks like some debris hit. My area got really lucky and had minimal damage and flooding, but some of the surrounding towns got hit pretty hard unfortunately.
Bought one yesterday and snap it in half today smh line was I believe 5 or 6 lb didn’t snap but the rod did .
That's weird. Must have been a defective one because I've caught 12lbs carp on these setups without any issues.
Thank you for posting this video!! I needed to watch someone using this particular tube heading to bass pro after work and pick one up!!!
Nice! Did you end up picking one up & if you did how are you liking it so far? I really enjoyed mine, and the only real complaint I had with it was that it's pretty slow getting around with the kick fins. As long as you're not in a real hurry to cover a ton of water though, I think they're great!
@@AllmouthBassing same.. I was using my hands because the kick fins I bought where not big enough for my waders and my huge feet LOL!!! I was surprised how well made it was for the price and it felt good and easy to cast from. No room so I needed to leave most of my gear on the bank, risky. I just took out a small tackle box and a net that was manageable.
@@landscaperescuewithstuartm6141 Ahhh, that's a bummer your fins didn't fit! Some guys just use canoe/kayak paddles with them, but I've never tried that personally. For net storage, you could probably find some waterproof velcro straps & strap it straight to the tube. As far as tackle goes, I'd usually just bring a small Plano box that fit inside one of the zipper pockets for hard baits, and only bring the soft plastics I planned on using for the day & it usually worked out pretty well for me. Some guys make custom PVC platforms to extend off the side of the tube for extra storage, but that takes away from the simplicity that attracted me to a tube in the first place, so I never bothered.
Dang I bought one of these and returned it because the action looked weak. Guess I was wrong! I have the Creme micro crank baits that are even smaller that trout love, but I'm going to give this a try again. Cool video, you should try the Rapala Original floating size 3 minnow. Nice action you can feel through the line, for such a small lure it's impressive.
That was my first impression of it too, but as you could see in the video the trout seemed to really like the subtle action. Those creme micro cranks are decent, but from my experience they tend to need a bit of adjustment to track straight, or they'll do barrel rolls & twist your line up. I've moved south since I made this video & don't have freshwater trout available where I live now, but if I do any trout fishing in the future I'll probably give those Rapalas a try 👍
@AllmouthBassing I bought the Ozark Trail mini minnow again. At the end of the night after I didn't catch anything on other lures, I threw it in the stream and caught a nice trout on the first cast. Yeah I would give those micro crankbaits another chance. The two that I have run great. The other night on a full moon I threw one in and caught three trout in under 10 minutes. I seen some other RUclips videos, I know they work on all other fish as well.
I had a Zebco bite alert combo,. I loved that combo, the Rod was great,. I am actually still using the Rod with a PENN Battle II 6000, but the Zebco reel that came with it did the same thing to me,. I caught a 30"'. Redfish with it and the gears stripped off from the main gear. but I still love the Rod...😊
Similar situation here! I'm still using the rod on occasion for bait fishing, but that reel got thrown in the trash once I was done making this video. If they made the reels with slightly stronger components it would be a great combo, but I guess you can't ask for too much out of a combo that costs less than $40.
I don't see a flasher mode on my lucky FF1108-1C Is there a trick to get in flasher mode or is it in the settings? I'm guessing mine doesn't have that feature. $20 at garage sale approx 5 years old. Thanks
I no longer have this fish finder so I can't remember the exact steps, but if I remember right I think there was a "mode" option which would switch between flasher and side view. Hopefully that helps 👍
You angered the fish gods by taking one of the fish from its home
Lmao I don't even think the fish gods care about cichlids & tilapia 😅
What a nasty storm that blew in! Glad you got back out there! Thank you for sharing my friend!
Yeah, it was pretty intense! There was a small tropical storm off the coast & we must have just got hit with the very edge of it because those crazy conditions came in went all in about 20-30 minutes. Thanks though Mark! Glad you enjoyed the video 🤙
My oldest son just caught a damn decent size bass on a little red zebco dock demon. Thats what made me look up what people are catching on these things. Hes 7!
That's awesome man! These little rods can handle a good beating. I've even seen guys switch out the reel for a bigger one & catch big saltwater fish with them. Congrats to your boy for the nice catch! 🤙
@@AllmouthBassing dang I didn't even know I'll have to look into that. Thanks man I appreciate that I'll let him know he'll think it's cool you said something. I subscribed to you too I'll watch more of your videos I turned on the bell
@@DurtyWyatEarp For sure, they're surprisingly capable little rods. Sounds good though. Always great to know the younger generations are getting into fishing & keeping the sport alive. & Thanks man! I really appreciate you supporting the channel like that.
@@AllmouthBassing yes sir I'm up in Virginia these kids are fishing up here for sure. But yeah man absolutely, good luck with everything!
What's your favorite soft plastic craw bait, and what's your favorite color for the water conditions where you fish?
What's your favorite bait and favorite color to throw for late summer and early fall bass?
Green and red crank bait
@@Theoneandonlyjohn123 Not a bad option especially where crawfish are a primary forage. I've had great luck with firetiger and fire craw crankbaits and jerkbaits in spots with a lot of craws 👍
Are those fish invasive ?
@@kenbach8962 in china
@@kenbach8962 Yeah, the state actually encourages their removal. They come from South America near the Amazon.
Honestly this casts really nice. I have a $120 combo and this can cast almost double the length. The rod is also really sensitive I can feel every rock, branch as my lure goes on the bottom
That's awesome! Can't complain about getting great performance out of a budget setup. I actually picked up a few of these since they were so cheap where I got them & I've had pretty good luck with all but one of the reels & I think I'm what caused the issues with that one lol.
If you want to learn to paint. These are pretty good to practice on
Nice! Never really thought about that, but makes sense. Probably not going to find cheaper glide baits, even if they're blanks
we eat those in trinidad & tobago
Oh wow, I've never heard of anyone eating armadillo. Does it taste good?
"Unhand me sir! I assure you I am quite alright." ~Armadillo~
Hahaha you're probably not wrong. At least I tried I guess 😅
@@AllmouthBassing fair enough 😅 He did dive off the kayak like he knew wtf he was doing🤣
True 😂
Cheers !!
🍻🤙
i have the medium one and have no problem catching and landing 5 to 6 pound bass i love it
Nice! That's good to hear the medium power one holds up as well as the M/H. Glad you're liking yours. I still use mine & it still works great 👍
Cool!!
Thank you sir!
Just now seeing this video. I've caught more fish with the Sexy Shad Scout this summer than with every other setup this summer put together. It is amazing dude.
Nice man! I lost my sexy shad to a snag unfortunately & the only other one I have is in the elegy bone color & I haven't had nearly as much luck with that one. I might have to pick up a another sexy shad one soon.
Wiper fight like they don't want to be eaten.Every time I've hooked one I had to flip the bail so I didn't get dragged into the lake.Lotsa fun.
That's the truth lol. Just have to get your drag set right & you shouldn't get bullied by them too badly. Agreed though, incredibly fun fish to catch!
Keep up the good work!
Thank you man, will do! 🤙
What hooks did you use?
The only hooks I usually use are eagle claw pro series hooks. I prefer the regular wire Skeet Reese hooks over any of the other ones. I'd stay away from heavy wire because they make hook sets tougher 👍
Goodness when did you move to Florida?
Oh man, quite a while ago at this point. I think a little over a year & a half.
@AllmouthBassing you like it much better that colorado?
@@robarko7189 Honestly, they're pretty close. I miss the people & the community in Colorado, but I'm loving the weather & certain aspects of the fishing down here.
@AllmouthBassing I have no doubts, looks like fishing is good there as well good for you 😀
AWESOME instructional and product review vid brother, WELL DONE!!!
@@Takeakidfishin Thank you man! I really appreciate the positive feedback!!
@@AllmouthBassing Just ordered a 3 pack, thanks for having positive feedback on them, now hoping for a BIG Massachusetts TANK of a bass, LOL!!!
@@Takeakidfishin Nice! I'm sure you'll get some good bites. Good luck with them! 🤙
@@AllmouthBassing THANKS!!!
You did a great job in those conditions! Thank you for sharing my friend!
Thanks man! Those Thump'n Dingers put in work 🤙
Hi D Saiges boy friend caught a 7 and a half lb largemouth last wk they have been getting flathead on the Susky also
That's awesome! Did he catch that in a pond, or was the bass out of the river too? I've been hearing a lot about those Susquehanna River flatheads though. I'll have to get up there & try catching some one of these days.
bro i am local i know you dont want share your best spots what places can you recommend for the best catfishing ??
I keep a lot of my catfish spots out there a secret because I put in a lot of hours & effort finding them, but believe it or not the Runyon Wildlife Area actually has pretty good catfishing in both lakes and the stretch of river that runs behind it.
What spot is this? (The second day?)
This was so long ago I honestly can't remember the exact spot I was at, but as far as I can tell it looks like somewhere in the Turkey Creek area up on the north end 👍
Whats the best way to retrieve a wacky rig I can't catch a bass to save my life on a wacky and I've tried everything
That's surprising! Wacky rigs are a go-to for a lot of guys because of their effectiveness. For a weightless wacky rig, I'll do one or two big, slow jerks of the rod tip with about a 5 to 7 second pause in between. For a weighted wacky, it's good to do a few faster, shorter jerks of the rod tip with a 4 to 5 second pause in between. Try working along weeds, docks and laydowns. The flutter from wacky rigs will often pull them off cover 👍
@AllmouthBassing thank you man ima gonna try it out. I've never used 1 before like a month ago guess I have to just keep practicing. Thanks!
@@ower2532 Np. Just stick with it & you'll figure it out eventually!
lets get it
Yes sir! You been catching anything out in Colorado?
@@AllmouthBassing a few small large mouth and some cats
Nice man! I miss targeting channel cats out there, was always a real good time. Glad you're still getting out fishing 🤙
What should I make next?
Ned right
@@CDFootballGaming Not a bad idea. I haven't really tried making anything finesse like that yet.
I have never fished a rig like that with worms, I’m definitely trying it out
It's a great method for covering water with live bait. If you have a worm out on the bottom or floating for a long time with no bites, a lot of the time you'll be able to find one casting around with a jig instead 👍
Nice
Thank you!!
@@AllmouthBassing your welcome anytime

Thank you man! Always Happy to upload a new vid 👍
I want to go fishing with you guys. No luck fining nice cats yet here
I'm living down in Florida now, so that's not likely to happen any time soon unfortunately. Keep after it though, there's good channel cat populations in a lot of the waters in southern & central Colorado. Basically anything connected to the Arkansa River will hold them.
Warmouth
Thanks for commenting! I'm pretty sure you're right. I've checked a few apps, looked into it myself & talked with several other people & it seems like most sources agree that it was a warmouth 👍
Have to try th on the Susquehanna great video D
@@kenbach8962 I could see them doing awesome in the Susquehanna & some of the creeks up in the northeast. Definitely worth a shot!
These are proven to catch fish they just aren't durable have to switch baits up after 1 to 2 fish as they fall apart
I was having a little better luck than that with them. I'd say I was getting 2 to 3 bass per bait on average which is about what I tend to expect from smaller plastisol based soft baits.
I'm curious about the Kerm Glass sticker on your Kayak. Something to do with Colorado Kerm?
@@hollygrogesky Yeah, it's my buddy Kerm's glass blowing business. I don't think there's many other Kerms out there 😂
