Niceee!
I like that approach!
It’s definitely an effective approach for the winter and especially for the month of January.
I got a new jig I want you to try and see what you think. They weren’t expensive but so far I like them. It’s a finesse football jig
I’m excited to give it a shot!! I have some jerk baits and jigs coming in also. So when we get together we can definitely do some damage.
I think I’ve seen u on Fishbrain
Probably, I rarely ever post on Fishbrain though. I appreciate you checking out my RUclips channel and subscribing, I currently have a giveaway going on my Instagram make sure to check it out!!

I appreciate it big dawg ‼️
Cool!
Did you know about this, or was I living under a rock? 😂 Comment Below 👇
🤙🏼👍🏻
Thanks 🎣
It’s a rig I often forget about until after the fact! You know what I mean? I’ll be on my way home after getting skunked and start thinking why didn’t try a drop shot. 😂
😂 I know exactly what you mean, it happens to me more often than you think. Then you start to think of what could’ve bit your setup and the locations at where you could’ve thrown it.
👍🏽
💪🏽
Drop a 🎣 if you’re ready to finesse these finicky bass!! What’s your Go-to Soft Plastics For the Dropshot?
Any suggestion for this time of year around Chickamauga/Harrison in Tennessee?
Focus on deeper ledges and creek channels with a slow presentation this time of year. A lipless crankbait worked with a yo-yo retrieve around grass edges or a finesse jig dragged near rocky drop-offs can be deadly. If the water’s clear, try a suspending jerkbait with long pauses to trigger bites. Also, don’t overlook blade baits for vertical jigging near baitfish schools-bass can’t resist them in cold water!
@TheReelBassPursuit thank you much!
👍🏽👍🏽
I run braid to flouro on every set up except my crank bait rod. I’m using straight flouro. It’s nice in the summer to have braid on your rods. I can cut off that leader and throw top water.
I’m with you! I love the versatility of running braid to fluorocarbon. However, careful with braid when using topwater. There’s times that your topwater will drag because braid will absorb a lot of water so keep an eye on that. #TeamBraid
Very cool!
That’s techie! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Nice
I appreciate it 🤙🏽
Village? I love this spot.
Heyy!! I appreciate you stopping by and checking out the video. Yessir 👍🏽, its definitely a place that keeps you coming back for more 🎣
Did that once with some worms on a really hot spot and it was super bad so I handlined it
Oof 😅, hands of steel. When that bite hits, you gotta get em in by any means necessary.
@TheReelBassPursuit always!
Nice! This looks like somewhere in the Southeast. You’ve got a pretty spot. The sound of a bridge on a backroad when you’re fishing is one of my favorite sounds in the world.
Nice catch!
Thanks!
@ Really enjoyed it!
Scratch that and pick a type of lure , there are lures that are similar but are for slightly different design/action/situation to throw it. I started with top water. Easiest thing to do , than swtich to different part of the column work the dive baits , than i went for learning the bottom column.
I think that’s a great way to break it down. When you get a feel for each type of lure then you can be confident in any situation.
Great advice!
Thanks for watching!
Too much work
It more work fighting a fish in 🤔
Any tips for when ice is just starting to form around the banks of a creek. Trying to get the bite before winter
@@darkmareiii4902 that’s tough since the bank freezes fast, however focus on deeper pockets and current breaks near creek bends or rocks. Use slow-moving baits like finesse jigs, blade baits, or small swimbaits on underspins. Bass won’t chase fast retrieves-drag and pause often. Natural colors and light line work best in clear, cold water. Fish midday for the best bite!
@TheReelBassPursuit thank you you are an underated youtuber
Good tip! Keep them coming!
Thanks! More on the way 👍🏽
Yo!
🤙🏽
That’s a cool technique¥,
Thanks,it works perfectly too because those treble hooks can rip right through the vegetation.
Any good ideas for any sauger/walleye for this time of year (i know your a bass fisherman)
Hey! For this time of year, a great tip for targeting sauger and walleye is to focus on deeper structures like drop-offs and channel edges, especially near current. Vertical jigging works really well-try using a heavier jig (1/2 oz to 3/4 oz) with a soft plastic like a paddle tail or live bait like a minnow. Keep your movements slow and controlled; a subtle lift-and-fall motion can really entice bites. Best times are dawn and dusk when they’re actively feeding. Good luck out there!
🤌🏼
