Moussa Bolokada Conde is one of the most celebrated master djembefolas in the world. Bolokada, as he is known, was lead soloist for the national touring group Les Percussions de Guinee for over a decade. Our Maternal/Child liaison, Elke Bachmann, RN, MSN, CNM, and Sekouba Conde worked together with Bolokada doing all the translations. The village midwife, Montene, participated in the prenatal exchange with two expectant mothers who volunteered to be seen. The days were long but worth every minute.
