Alright to use it crusader properly you need use it the field ration + deus vualt with you're healing to make you harder to kill and give more time to fight and slow death while you're teammates support you while you tank it just like other units that have field ration
You need use it early before you go in the fight if you use while fighting it's not gonna work also sorry if didn't reply it I was playing this game that's why I didn't saw you're replies
Also let you're unit in first line while you supporting you're army and dont rush without youre men you need wait you're men also don't go in first line if you encounter archers or phalanx just you know what mean that can kill you instant
