I would actually suggest removing the abstract pillows and keeping the chocolate brown. Because everything is so "solid". I wish I could link my knobs. But I have some acrylic/gold dresser knobs that I believe would work so well for your space.

For the light cords by the bed you can use black wire covers. They adhere to the wall & looks neat & seamless.
