Quick tour of the newly opened Teck Lee LRT station!
19 years after completion, the wait is finally over for the opening of Teck Lee LRT station! Here's a quick tour of the station and its surroundings. As I visited in the evening, the grand opening sign that was at the platform earlier in the morning is no longer there.
In the years leading up to the eventual opening, the station and its surroundings have changed remarkably over time as the nearby new SIT CAMPUS and Punggol Digital District are being built. The station was given deep clean-down, repainted and the system map replaced several days before, turning it from a run-down state to as good as new! Now there's no more unopened LRT stations in the system! Really glad to see that doors ...

On this day, exactly one year ago, the very first R151, 825/826, entered passenger service on the EWL. And the R151 featured in this video is the first to enter service on the NSL on 25 May 2024! Was waiting to ride an R151 home when... Didn't take it as I was heading westbound. I remembered the last time a C151C went to EWL was a few months back when there was a fault on EWL, resulting in a few C151Cs deployed there from UPD! Apparently, there was a track point fault near Jurong East on the westbound track during PM peak, hence trains had to move much more slowly through the affected area and reach platform F on ATPM mode. Surprisingly, train services wasn't badly delayed by this fault and hence, no announcements about this fault was made by SMRT on social media. Featured train: Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 055/05...

The sound of SIE C651s is my most favourite of all. There isn't any other trains that have such a melodious accel and decel! It's a shame these trains are gonna be gone sooner or later. Its easy. Some steam got on the winfows and it turned into water.
It's not steam, it's water vapor. I doubt the windows are cold enough for condensation on the window surface. And the water is INSIDE the window, not outside surface. If it's outside, it wouldn't had been collected at the bottom of the window.
