Idk its not really working? I put all the needed Mod files in the mods folder but SMAPI doesn't seem to run? I don't get that little window before the game itself opens nor do any of the game contents change and I have no clue what I'm doing wrong.

i did everything you did but when i open the game it doesnt show me the screen, stam says its running but i dont see anything 😭😭i re started my computer, deleted the mods and smapi, and also uninstalled and isntalled the game again but i still cannot open it 😭😭pls help
i dont have a mods folder? its the microsoft thing and then the mono thing. is the mods folder called something else?
I put the SMAPI folder into my mods folder like you said, but the game isn’t loading up on top saying “running SMAPI…” idk what I did wrong

Mine keeps stopping at the terminal and not loading the mod information even though I added the folders? I don’t usually go to RUclips comments for help but modding has been a series of ups and downs, abandoning it for months after crying and trying it again just for another problem to pop up so I’m desperate 😭

When I try to open the game it shows “StardewModdingAPI” will damage my computer and suggests I should trash it. Due to that it isn’t letting me run smapi / mods. Is there a way around this? @daliafilmhouse

It's telling me the mods couldn't be added to the game because smapi installer 4.0.8 isn't a mod. I would be super grateful for some advice!

Are you freaking kidding me.. I’ve wasted like total 3 days trying to figure out how to do this and all I had to was move them into a stupid folder!!! I have like 50 mods that I wanted to try download but could not for the life of me figure out how to get them to work.. thank you for tutorial, very helpful

@@ilikefruitsm if you think it could be something with the mod than check the mods forum if nobody else has that problem maybe try to see if restarting your computer would work

you have to make sure you downloaded smapi before the mods folder can appear. if you downloaded smapi and you still can’t find it make sure you search up Mods(with a capital M) in your files to see if you can find it through that

Mine says the mods are running when I open the game but no actual changes were made in the game?? Dose anyone know why this is happening
i have heard of mods not working if they weren’t calibrated for a new update taht could be the case check out the mod’s forum for more speific advice
The Mods folder in the MacOs folder doesn´t show up to me.. Does anyone know what to do?
this might b a very late reply, but I had the same issue just now, you have to download smapi and install it, click on the smapi file to install it "launch macOs" (smth like that), its probably gonna say that you can't open it and that you have to move it In the bin. click off of it and don't move it to the bin go to your settings, then privacy and security, scroll down and you're gonna see that your Mac stopped the file from opening it, you're gonna click allow. After you did that go click on the folder smapi again try again to install it its gonna ask you some questions about which text you can see more clearly and the voila. you now have the mods folder in the macOs folder. Hope this helped :,)
