Why you need to "goanna-proof" your food when you go camping.
Why you need to "goanna-proof" your food when you go camping in Australia.
On a recent camping trip, we were just sitting around after a hike and this goanna just wandered up to our campsite and went straight for the cooler bag where some fruit and potato chips were. Thankfully it wasn't interested in going any further than just investigating, but those claws can do a lot of damage!

When you have an itch and you just need to scratch.. all over. This kangaroo had a good go at it for over 5 minutes. Video has been consequently trimmed to spare you 5 minutes of watching a roo scratch itself. Taken in Girraween National Park, Qld, 29 May 2017.
My commute home from work by bike - 23 December 2016

Riding through Brisbane on a bike in peak hour traffic is an absolute nightmare as this will show. Yes, I ride on the footpath but it's an absolute necessity and can't be avoided. Thankfully it's only for a minute or so.
My commute to work by bike - Brisbane, 23 December 2016

Early on the morning of 23 December 2016, I hooked my Kaiser Baas action cam up to my bike to record the route I take to work on a daily basis. It's at 8 speed because otherwise the 20 minutes would be really boring and the file size was over a gb. This is a nice quiet ride compared to the trip home!
Severe Hail Storm Brisbane 27/11/14

Severe hail storm about 4:45pm on Thursday, 27 November 2014, taken at the top end of Mary Street, Brisbane.
When filming a hailstorm, you should occasionally capture the roof above you that is protecting you from the hail.

Impressive footage !
That wasn't a hail storm. That was wild Aussie kids throwing iceballs from the freezer out of their hotel balconies. 🙇🏼♀️🙇🏻
Goannas have such an attitude!
This hailstorm obliterated my sisters unit. She had to stay with a neighbour for a week while we cleaned every surface of her place. There were shards of glass from one window that were 15-20m long and which had travelled from one side of the unit to the other, basically horizontally and then slid down behind the couch! A total distance of about 8m. The window they came from was the same height as the couch, so it had to fly with some serious speed to get behind the couch like it did. There was also glass embedded in walls and every single window was smashed! The blinds were write offs and it was an absolute mess! It was 6 months before she got new windows and plywood was so hard to get my dad had to bring some from interstate! And he only got it because his mate who owned a hardware shop managed to source it for us. Everywhere else in the area was sold out as alot of people were doing the same thing! At the time my sister was not home (thank god!) There was no corned of her unit that would have been safe.
Wow qld getting smashed like in SOO.
Thinks for vedio
That umbrella at @2:00 is annoying
Storm are very dangerous like thunder and lightning and hail in the city and where you live. Sometimes you need fine a shelter to been safe. So you will not get hurt .And very hard windy. Thing will fly to. Been very careful. If you are out there. Or stay in your 🚗.
Love a good storm! Thanks for the video!

Son coronavirus después de tomar anabolicos
I remember a time when outback vehicles would have a steel mesh guard in front of their windscreens... and kangaroo bars ( bull bars)..... as you didn't need to loose a windscreen 400 miles from a new one
0:45 wow that IS huge hail
100,000 cars were damaged in this storm and it took the automotive repair industry 3+ years to repair them all
Is this Mary Street?
Sure is.
Danggggg broooo
That moron with the umbrella. Get the hell out of the way!
Australia where even the sky will try to kill you!
😱😱😱😱😱😱
This ain't nothing.....wait till God drops 45.36 kg hail on the planet soon.
You managed to catch everything I love about a rain storm. City lights on a wet rainy road , rain coming down in sheets , a little hail for the intensity and rain bubbles dancing on cars , pavement and anything it touches. Things like umbrellas and people hurrying across roads , trees being blown around all these kinds of things make my heart dance. Thank you for that.
So basically you like disasters?
I also love storms. there is danger but also a fascination seeing Mother Nature at work. I will say being car owner and seeing the damage that hail can do, I hope to never b caught in a hailstorm.

Doofus with the umbrella!!! You’re blocking the action!
This hail storm was the result of 2 Supercell Thunder storms merging into one, the wind speeds were clocked at 142Kph .or 88 MPH.it gained strength from Archerfield Aerodrome & headed directly north every house in every Suburb to the Brisbane City had all their south side windows smashed to pieces, this storm was one of the most costly hail storms in Brisbane's history, it was classed as a Micoburst storm, thousands of cars in car yards in Moorooka were all a total write off not to mention 10's of thousands of roof damages estimated insurance bill was well over 1 Billion Dollars
I remember living there, every day at 4 pm a storm would roll in. Crazy
I want to move there.
Another day in the sunshine state ^^
Incredible and spectacular thunderstorm 🤩
