Hi I’m just about to invest in a Quest 3 and one of the principle reasons is Eleven Table Tennis, could you be kind enough to recommend a couple of Adapters and what would be your top pick, budget isn’t a problem … thanks for all you videos in English, they’re an excellent database of Knowledge.
@@mark2782 thanks for your message. I recommend 2 adapters: SolidSlime V3 and BonWasy SX. They are both great and I’m sure it will be more than enough to improve your experience with the game. solidslime.net/2024/07/quest-3-table-tennis-adapter-v3-1-changelog/

Im confused, are people playing this to practise normal table tennis, or do they enjoy the VR verison to the standard table tennis.
@@GeoGeo451 both. I have students practicing in real life and virtual reality at the same time to improve one of them or both. Lots of tournaments happening in vr at the moment with good money prizes too.
How do you compare your performance in online competition with these different headsets?
@@SchoolofEvMac so far, Pico and Q3 are very similar, but Q3 has a bit more graphics quality. Q2 is definitely the worst in any aspects.
@@vreleventabletennis but does the enhanced speed on the pico translate to a higher ELO rating for you?
@@SchoolofEvMac not necessarily. Technique and strategy come first. I would probably get similar results with Q2 and maybe now I could go even higher with Q3 (fingers crossed 🤞) Pico gave me lots of trouble in the beginning: tracking wasn’t good enough, late game updates, some performance issues running at 90 FPS. But now is way more stable. I’ll be playing from now on with Q3. Let’s see how far I can go.

This is really interesting! I'd consider buying a different headset if there's a 10% advantage in ceiling performance. One thing I'm wondering though - your arm movement is visibly faster in the Pico 4 section. This should not be down to tracking differences, so I'd rather say that the better results of the Pico 4 come from that, and are maybe just a result of warming up?
@@petermeierrr thanks for the message. I started recording with Pico actually, and I tried to swing 100% of the time with all headsets. I get the same kind of results when doing a full training session with them separately. Pico always delivers more power.

Good illustration, however this doesn’t exactly simulate anti spin rubbers since there is no spin reversal. Hopefully the developer addresses this in the future.
@@Mustafa_Alqaseer agreed. It’s close to anti spin but not identical. Long pips is also something interesting that we are still waiting for.
@@vreleventabletennis Yes, hopefully the developer won’t take too long to implement it in the game.
@@Mustafa_Alqaseer we are asking this for only 3 years 😂
@@vreleventabletennis I know, the developer says they have a lot of things to do , we can only hope they dedicate some time for this since a lot of people are asking for it.
@@Mustafa_Alqaseer I think top priority should be getting the physics as close to perfect as possible, then simulate all the different rubbers. Unfortunately, it seems all the time is taken up fixing bugs and sorting out problems caused by Meta. There have been some improvements in the almost 4 years I've been playing the game, but nowhere near what I hoped they would do.

Since you have a good understanding of the real life game of ping pong, and knows how to set the ping ball machine pretty good, what are some good easy and difficult realistic spin combinations on one preset. By one preset, I mean one ball serve. Also, what combinations of spin are unrealistic to set up since it may not be humanly possible to use in a real game.
That’s a complex subject. I believe all the ball machine programs I made are very similar to real shots. According to the level you play, it’s all adjustable. Sometimes I hear players saying that some of the shots are too difficult, even for a 3000 elo player. But most of the time the player’s technique for that specific shot is not good enough. The shot itself could be more basic or advanced, but all very close to reality.
I do like playing close to the table, as I don't have a lot of space, but I find it hard with a lot of speed, because when the ball comes back, I'm rushing to get into the correct position for the next shot. So I'm now using 70 bounce, with LBD on and generating the speed by hitting harder. Wish the devs prioritised the physics updates, as that will probably make a huge difference. I also wish for the most simple environment, so the game can run optimally, it still feels too glitchy, with the Quest 3 and minimum graphics settings. Interesting toying the rival Quest game, that has very simple graphics, that's feeling more smooth, so hopefully the ETT devs can learn from that?
I agree 100% with you. The game is great but still has lots of issues to solve. About your 70 bounciness, it’s perfectly ok, I’m using less than that on my backhand side to be able to control my loops.
@@vreleventabletennis I tried the settings in the video and liked them. Did lower bounce to 85, that gave me just enough reaction time when the ball comes back. It felt more like how I play IRL, because I use cheap rubber, that doesn't have a lot of spin. As the game is a bit slow, the extra speed felt good.
@@sharpvidtube that’s cool. I’m happy to know that. Small adjustments in the paddle settings are always necessary. I’m very often trying new settings.
Thank you coach. What are the rubber settings you use? Would you saw 80/77/1.12 is realistic enough to use with your training program. Thank you
It depends on how you like playing, your style, current level and goals. This setting you mentioned seems good. Nowadays I play with lower throw (around 1.06) and maximum spin. The most important thing is to feel good with enough power but excellent control. Sometimes is more important to place one more ball, than having a bit more power.
Now do Anti Spin!
I will very soon. Stay tuned 🤜🤛
MUCHAS GRACIAS. FUE DE GRAN AYUDA.
❤️🤜🤛
