X-Men: Evolution has FAR better depictions than the overrated live-action X-Men films.
Have to agree, I didn’t love this show but I thought the characters were done better than they were in the movies, and I would’ve loved to have seen how they would’ve done the Phoenix storyline had it not been cancelled. The characters were solid and it was never done well on the big screen but I think this show’s writers had the potential to make it decent.

Why is everyone so floored by the dance animation? I get that everyone wants to objectify the girls and all that licentious shit, but it's literally just the intro being reused and slowed down...
Because the dance is lifted directly from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's season 3 episode "Bad Girls". Rogue is doing Faith's moves while Kitty is doing Buffy's moves.
It's mainly because the animation looked so fluid and it's wild to see that an artist drew out each motion.

This is actually a rotoscoped sequence. The dance was copied directly from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Season 3 episode "Bad Girls" when Faith and Buffy go dancing together. Rogue is doing Faith's dance while Kitty is doing Buffy's. If you compare the two side by side, they're exactly the same, right down to the camera movement and cuts.

The Goth style does fit her powers better than the flirty Southern Belle persona she has in the comics.
@@kaczok1985 I agree, this was the first Rogue I was exposed to and it made perfect sense for her to be goth because of how her power works. It doesn't make sense for her to be so straight forward.
@@RexZShadow It kinda does in the comics. Personality-wise the flying, super-strong Rogue is an amalgam of her original self and Miss Marvel. She never reverted back to her original personality. That being said, I am a big fan of how Evolution adapted Rogue and Scarlet Witch. The world needs more goth superheroes.
