    Hi! Thank you for the review! Have you tried cutting an onion with the grater? I can’t find any demos with an onion even on HSN.

    • @CHwT
      @CHwT 2 дня назад

      Yes, I did do onions with it once. But because the spout is not very large, I had to cut them smaller so they would fit into it. It did grate them ok.

      Olive oil, I believe, is just the most popular. But yet, Sunflower oil is great too. Any carrier oils work...ie.. Olive, sunflower, sweet almond, Jojoba, coconut, hibiscus, etc. The oil is just whichever one you choose. God Bless 💗

    • @CHwT

      No. It actually will smell like the comfrey plant which is really not overpowering. You could add any scent of essential oils to it to make the scent better if you wanted to.

    Soak overnight, cook on stovetop for 90 minutes, and then canning for 90 minutes? Don't the beans get mushy? I thought that if you soaked overnight, you only need to boil for 5 minutes then let set for 1 hour and then proceed with canning.

    • @CHwT
      @CHwT 13 дней назад

      This is how I have always done them for many years and they have always been a success and made the way that we personally like them. But everyone is different. Yes, you can soak them overnight and cook for 30 minutes, then process for 90 minutes....IF there is ham or meat in with them. Otherwise, it would be a shorter process time. Also, depends on the size jars you are using. And yes, there are many I know who also do the 5 minutes boil, sit for 1 hour, than process without cooking further. It is always up to the individual on how they like the outcome of the product to be. Either way you choose to do it is fine and will work out. It is always a matter of preference, as I always say in all my videos. God Bless ❤

      I do not really measure the water, but if I had to guess it would be about 4 quarts to 2 lbs of pintos. As for the ham, I use one large ham slice for every 2 lbs of pintos. You can always add more or less depending on individual taste. Hope this helps. God Bless ❤

      I know you can can ham and potato soup. I am not sure how it would be if you add the cabbage to it, but if it were myself doing it, I would give it a try! I actually do not see why you could not do it. I believe it would just be a preference and the fact that the cabbage does change texture once it is canned. So you would want to keep that in mind.

      Always use dried rosemary. If you put anything fresh into the oil, the moisture from it can cause mold in the oil when infusing and spoil it. God Bless ❤
