Final Zone's boss has a pattern, it's AI will almost everytime make Eggman spawn in the piston Sonic is facing away from, but you also can't just stay in the corner facing the wall, and sometimes when the boss is close to dying, it seems it gets a bit harder for him to follow that rule, but yea, it's not TOTALLY RNG based, still is a bit, but there's a way to "cheese" the AI (even though it was probably on purpose), also, Scrap Brain act 3 has a shortcut at the start, dunno if you're aware of it, but it saves a lot of time and pain, it makes the level last less than 1 minute and it makes it a lot easier too lol
