My wife hates hearing me talk about photography and video production, especially the technical stuff. So this RUclips channel exists.

ATEM Streaming Bridge: Get program and multi-view out of ATEM Mini Pro/ISO
Просмотров 61 тыс.3 года назад
The ATEM Streaming Bridge is a super cheap device that allows you to do two main things: 1. Get program directly out of an ATEM Mini Pro (or ISO)'s ethernet port. 2. Receive signal from a friend's ATEM Mini Pro (or ISO) over the internet with just a 3 second delay. In this video, I'll show you how to do both things. I also include a diagram for how I use the ATEM Streaming Bridge and a Blackmag...

Here's how I set up my live production flypack with integrated video switcher, audio mixer and recorder. Thanks to Here to Record for your flypack videos. They really helped inspire this one. ruclips.net/channel/UC-6rohWvTkl4mzvoDbxDGxQ * I wrote and recorded all the music in this video. Going out of AUX and selecting HDMI 2 as your AUX source coulda saved you one HDMI converter and long HDMI cable as you'd still need a SDI DA.
How.do you monitor audio with the bridge connected?
Thank you for the video.A question: there is latency using atem streaming bridge?
Thank you for this video. Quick question. I just purchased my Atem Mini Pro and my use will be to do training with clients using Zoom and I want to get my program out to a monitor so I don’t have to keep looking at the Multi view at another desk in my setup. Will this device work for this situation or do I even need this to accomplish what I am trying to do?
Thank you! this is most helpful! did you ever try capturing the video from the ATEM Streaming Bridge into the computer and stream via zoom? I want to this so I can recored all iso's on ATEM mini pro iso and stream to zoom at the same time. Thank you.
Thanks for the video. Super helpful. Any way to reduce the delay on the streaming bridge so you can use it in live to screen for Church or conferences in a live venue?
Your dad is a gem!
what no powercon in?
Thank you! excellent video ruclips.net/video/oFG3rpUfGdk/видео.html
Great
Dude this is amazing, giving me flashbacks to working in TV news and how all the tech comes together so seamlessly. Crazy how accessible it all is these days
Hallo, ich bin Fotograf. Ich möchte Blackmagic Television Studio Pro 4k kaufen. Ich weiß nicht, ob es gut ist oder hat technische Probleme. Was ist der beste 4k-Mixer? Danke.
Can u stream to your dad or he needs a bridge on his side .. my question is …is it bidirectional where it can send or receive
Really good question. It's my understanding that it is NOT bi-directional the way you're hoping. I believe my dad would have to have a streaming bridge on his end as well.
You got an alternative if your HDMI Out doesn't work anymore? ... Actually nevermind you might have solved my problem.. "Use the Bi-Directional Converter" --... Imma try using that and see how that works.
Did your HDMI output go bad??
where would i go if i want to buy one? I love yours.
At 1:55 I see a multiview but how do you sent a multiview by a Streaming Bridge???
That photo is actually from a live stream at a music venue, where we put the audio mixing console in the building next door so the audio engineer can hear properly. Since he was in a different building, I sent multi-view to him over HDMI. I was actually using my bigger flypack (you can see it in another video on my channel). That said, in the setup I show in this video, I'm sending program out of the ethernet port (by way of the streaming bridge), and that leaves the HDMI output sending multi-view. If you send that HDMI into a bi-directional converter, you'll get get both HDMI and SDI multi-view outputs. Does that make sense?
great video what software did you use to make the wiring diagram. I would love to make one for an install I am working on.
Hi thank you for the tips! while the jack is for streaming bridge how can i use atem software control? i can still use macros?
Good question. I honestly haven't been using the ATEM Mini Pro much lately. But I think you'll be able to use software control and macros with the USB-C port.
Thank you for this breakdown of your flypack , construction, I had to use snip-it to get the wiring diagram in order to make sure I order the parts correctly. For other looking to replicate this Fly pack the Patch cables are 10 SDI, 4 HDMI, 8 XLR
very clever setup. nice video.
Thanks, Terence!
Love this video Thanks
any delay when conect via streaming bridge sir?
It was about 3 seconds in the one test I did. ruclips.net/video/c0-RQuaAXoI/видео.html
any other cheap way to have program output from atem ethernet port?
I think the streaming bridge is the only option, unfortunately.
Very awesome walk through........have similar camera and lighting setup but looking into getting into the streaming aspect but have not been able lock down what to charge for this kind of service with audio and rest of stream package.
Figuring out what to charge is brutal. I will say that when doing a live stream, there is way more prep work (ie. meetings, graphics prep, etc.). So definitely ask a bunch of questions so you can charge for all of that work.
Very helpful video! Did you have any issues syncing your audio with the different cameras (A7s and Eva1?) I am running into an issue in a similar setup where I am running an EVA 1 (direct SDI feed ) and multiple GH5 cameras (HDMI to SDI conversion) into my ATEM switcher. The processing time of my GH5s have a 5 frame delay when compared to the EVA. Did you have similar issues with your A7s? If so, did you have a work around. Thanks
Oh man, 5 frames sounds like a lot. I did not have that issue. All the cameras seemed to be synced up pretty well with each other. We did some audio delay to match the audio to the video and we were in good shape. Direct feed, too...strange. Have you figured out what was up?
Great video . Looks like you solved one of the issues with the atem mini switcher I wish they gave you a live preview via usb as well . Or via Ethernet protocol . So that you have two outputs . Anyways my question is regarding the atem bridge . Say my client is remote and I pre set the atem bridge and atem software from my location then ship the camera and atem mini with xml file already saved and everything pre set . Do you think it will hold settings for my client to simply hook up to WiFi or internet and hit stream on the atem ? I mean all the work would be done by me before hand local network with atem bridge and port open and atem software installed and pre set in clients computer before shipping ?
Hey thanks. Yeah, I believe Blackmagic intends for these two devices to be used the way you just described. I’m not certain what how reliably the ATEM will retain the default stream settings you load with your XML file. I seem to remember having to reload it after a certain amount of time. But that wouldn’t be too tough to do remotely.
@@YayYouDidIt true . I’m doing some test now . My other concern is how much traffic it’s going to add to my internet source . Right now I’m using a mobile SIM card pepwave hot spot set up .
Nice setup
What did you charge for this?!? Hope it’s an arm and a leg
It was probably a wrist and a couple baby toes. Should have charged WAY more!
ATEM Bridge Stream to RUclips and Local LAN. I need to stream to RUclips and directly to local monitors on my network. RUclips stream for remote viewers. Sending ATEM output over local area network to monitors in another room. The stream cannot be the multicast view since it is used by the video operator. Any suggestions?
Why is it that video guys couldn’t make a clean cable situation if their life depended on it...
Hi Heywoodj1969. Thank you for your comment. I like your content, too.
Great video what is the name of that device/mount that you have your ATEM mini and stream deck in?
you dad deserves a metal for how good he is with a computer!!!
How to connect remote Atem Mini Pro to internet when streaming via ATEM Streaming Bridge?
thanks for the setup
Do i have to dirrectly connect Atem mini pro to Streaming bridge? Can't i use a router in between?
I haven’t used a router between, but I believe you can!
@@YayYouDidIt Thanks
@@YayYouDidIt please check that
Hey everyone. I appreciate the kind words and that some of you have learned from my experiences! I dove deep over the past five years or so on multi-cam and live streaming stuff. However, I’m not really doing a lot of this stuff right now, so there probably won’t be a lot of opportunities for me to make these set-up explanation videos. That said - I do continue to check these comments and respond to every one that I can. You can also email me at info@yayyoudidit.com and I’ll help if I can!

You’re actually the first I see using QLab in an Atem environment. Very cool setup. Do I hear Music from Audiio? ;) my question is which converter you use from your mac (?) greetings from Amsterdam ;)
Hey Philip! Yes, that’s Audiio! What do you mean by converter for my Mac? Using a USB-C to HDMI cable to send the Mac into the switcher. Is that what you mean?
@@YayYouDidIt Thank you, that's indeed what I meant :-)
Simple and complicated awesomeness.
Thank you very much for introducing how to connect through internet, it great seen from 7:00 to 11:30, I can do it to imitate. from Tokyo, Japan.
Great video! BTW, No need to hide your internal IPs. But you do need to hide your external "server" IP (if it's static).
Approximately whole setup cost??
is it possible to livestream to another platform? or do you have to chose weather you send the stream to the streaming bridge or Facebook etc?
I'm curious about the same thing. Wouldn't you lose the streaming function of ATEM because I can't stream to two different services at the same time.
Great setup, very educational. What is the confidence monitors you are using and are these monitors equipped with SDI inputs? Also what is the SDI splitter you are using to send signal to these confidence monitors? Thanks!!!
Hey! The confidence monitors on the floor are just cheap tv’s I bought at Target or elsewhere. I’m using cheap Blackmagic SDI to HDMI converters on them. There is a confidence monitor on the camera that is shooting the podium. It has both SDI and HDMI, but the SDI is like a mini SDI. So I use an adapter cable for that.
THIS WAS SUCH A FREAKIN AWESOME SETUP!!! I LEARNED SO MUCH FROM YOUR WALK THRU!!!
Thank you!
Great info. I also have a LiveU Solo and an ATEM Mini ISO. The streaming bridge gives me back my multi-view when remote streaming with the LiveU / Solo.
Are you able to share that diagram you have?
Love the content. Hope to see more in the future
Great video.
