    Hey thanks for posting this. I was the artist on Special Forces and did this Intro. I started with the Atari ST / Amiga version and sort of splurged from being restricted to 16 colours to 256 colours and I didn't really know what to do with all the extra colours so made the skys soft and blurry and tragically, did the same with the forest background! I was only 20 years old when I did this to be fair.

    As a professional game designer I love seeing this sort of footage. Game and level design got so technical and manipulative today, how to "reward" the player and manage that to keep interest, and even better to make the player buy stuff, but here you see Nintendo's employees talking about what the player will say and feel, and what it's really impressive, is that if you read recent interviews, they still do that, they haven't lost sight of what's truly important.

Btw Sony was a "Corporation", SEGA was NOT a "Corporation" Hayao Nakayama was the president of Sega Enterprises LTD Japan who created the idea of not only having computerized arcade cabinets but also computerized home videogame systems to be launched begining in 1983 Japan with SG-1000, again in 1985 Japan with the Sega Mark III and again in 1988 Japan with Sega MegaDrive and then later in 1994 with the Sega Saturn as all of these home videogame systems were created, engineered and designed by Sega Enterprises LTD and NOT any outside subsidiary branch like how 90s Sega of America management created the 32X and put the pressure to create the Sega Dreamcast which killed then entire company into bankrupcy. The "Sega" that made the home videogame systems existed in the late 1970s or early 1980s and CEASED TO EXIST after the year 2001, what existed afterwards was a "Sega" that was bought out by and merged with Sammy Co. but that "Sega" exists UNDER Sammy Co.

    Im 57 and Atari intellivision ect SUCKED HARD. You who grew up with RENTAL STORE'S and NES a Segal but I bought a Genesis and pack in game was WAY TO SHORT . So took Genesis and traded it for $400.00 VCR.But bought everything SEGA very cheap leaving Atlanta for the final time and got cheat devices and had a lot of fun

    The auto translate is a little shoddy, but in one area they described pulling the goal of the level off screen so you'd have to walk forward after a difficult section then see the goal. A bit of anticipation that level isn't over and sudden relief when the player sees the goal. Very interesting.

    I was 8 years old when they were doing this... I remember getting and playing Super Mario World, which would have been Christmas of 1991. I remember the theme music used to drive my dad nuts.
