It's not bad guests that is the problem with AB&B it's the lying, cheating hosts with crap properties and their enablers at AB&B who back really bad behavior. We once rented a one bedroom apartment that was actually a tiny studio w/o any of the amenities advertised.....pictures are easily manipulated....when we complained and demanded restitution, they had a guy from India call and tell us how "sincerely sorry" they were that we complained" I accused the caller of being a bot because of the scripted faux sympathy they are trained to offer....this guy actually called us back to tell me he was not a bot.... I would rather he was a bot.....being gaslighted buy trained cheats

The last year, as a GUEST, nearly all my HOSTS have tried to take the conversation off platform. My last host even complained in his review how "inconvenient" this was for him that I insisted on communicating on the Airbnb platform. Please keep educating hosts about this!!!!!

If you ever get to cancelling a reservation from Airbnb, never accept the credit to your account for future bookings. Airbnb has a very bad policy of not returning your money if you later decide to get it back as a refund. In essence they want to keep your money as long as possible.

What about the dishonest hosts, like charging for damages not caused by guest, 5 star reviews by friends and family, changes in furniture from posted photos, not informing guests about massive facade renovation outside the rental’s windows. These are all experiences I have had over 25 rentals. Dishonesty runs both ways.

I just wanted to see what a guest would see when receiving checkin instructions. And why are there two places to put checkin instructions as host. one is just a textbox and one is a guide with pictures. AND when do they get this? 3 days in advance. need to know so if I want to change keycode how many days in advance do I need to do it.
