    That was not the first time that the more fortunate & privileged had sabotaged the PNP government in Jamaica. We all know how the 1970s went with political violence & the flight of money out of the economy. Some of these people are hell bent on blaming the government for the financial meltdown in the 90s without holding the bank that screwed them responsible in any way.

    @FranklySpeaking_JA_Podcast: “If the truth shall kill them, let them die,” (Immanuel Kant). We will not be responsible for politicians' egos, leave them at the door. I must support Justice Panton's words for Dr. Longmore to begin a psychiatric evaluation of politicians who, at times, appear out of touch with reality based on the nonsense they say, which appears to be devoid of common sense. I believe that was something that needed to be stated, and we needed a stateman of his stature to say it, someone who is not afraid or seeks favor. These members of Parliament were in desperate need of reality checks. One that informs them that they are not Gods to us. And I believe it was communicated with clarity by Justice Panton. The coefficient of intelligence between the IC Directors and the government Parliamentarians was so striking; the government parliaments were made to look like kindergarten kids on their first day at school learning to sing their first nursery rhyme. The bully tactic planned by government parliamentarians and echoed by Charls Jr. and Delroy Chuck in their initial response when it was recommended that the IC Commissioners be summoned to the Parliament was swatted by intelligence and somewhat humble with knowledge. I hope they learn something like the majority of us did because our country was exposed to the wisdom of persons with extensive experience and knowledge of their chosen profession.

    Some of our policy makers are not serious about promoting all aspects of agriculture in this country. We spend public funds to sponsor garbage masking as entertainment and charge our students to enter Agricultural shows. I recommend the removal of the heavy entertainment component from our agricultural shows and deliberately focus on the products and services these agricultural shows are mandated to showcase. I would like to see students turning up at Denbigh in their school branded T shirts at absolutely no cost to the parents, school or students. Let us start with our children. I was devastated to see and hear a group of students strategizing how to "scale the fence" at the Hague Agricultural Show in 2023.

    When I hear these old political arguments being spewed still by supposedly thinking people it becomes easy to understand why we are so poor as a people. I find it a waste of time to even listen to them. Their economics is as relevant as their politics. I put it to you that the reason why we remain poor is because these so called bright sparks still think we have an economic problem... we don't... yet they are still talking the nonsense... time will tell!

    The cows and goats remain the attraction for me. As a lover of festivals who had sold the show to friends, I had planned to go this year as part of a group of 10 including 5 children but fully understand the reason for its cancellation.

  • @marshaleewhite7571

    I did not attend the show last year because it was not worth my time, the petrol or the toll.

    The cancellation of the Denbigh show should be used to revisit whether we are serious about succession planning in agriculture and the future of agriculture. I am making a call for the return of agriculture to Denbigh. Too many sections of the Denbigh showground have looked like grand market in the major town centres and parish capitals on Christmas eve. I can only compare them to a dry goods and clothes market more akin to haberdasheries.

    How can you help a sick person by sending him/her all over the country to get tested? MRI? SCAN? BLOOD WORKS?

  • @waveneywalker7686
    @waveneywalker7686 3 месяца назад

    Its most overwhelmingfor a sick person. The public system does not explain the full procedure of getting to the root of a condition. They need to tell a patient what to expect, the necessary tests they will have to do so they can prepare themselves mentally and physically.

    The fact that persons holding certain positions including constitutional offices have sought to question the judgment of the constitutional court constituted by three female jurists must be of grave concern to every competent well thinking person who respects the rule of law. The law sets out the process of making an appeal. There is a difference between having concerns and expressing them and openly uttering some of the comments that came from certain holders of prominent offices.

    What about seeking help from overseas for drilling and laying down the infrastructure.? Similar to what is being done to the development of highways in Jamaica. It is obvious that we lack the ability and the resources to do much on our own.

    This is a government, government after government problem and none has dealt with it in any meaningful manner. In the 70ties some minidams were created dont know what have become of them. So many houses, hotels, offices etc have been built and no improvement of water system. My advice to the peoples of jamaica vote for the people who can make a satisfying case to them that they will guarantee them to provide water both for farmers and their families. Action is needed.
