@edgardonb - Thanks for your question. Actually it does not matter even if you put a name of the column in the ME like "ABCD". It's just a variable to accept the value returned by the SQL. You can use whatever name is meaningful to you. FOR_MINUTE, FOR_MINUTES, v_MINUTE anything will work.

The observer configuration file is a binary file created automatically in the default location or in the location specified when the observer is started using the "start observer" Command. There are few prerequisites to be fulfilled in the third server where the observer runs. Pay attention to the 12:53 minutes of the video when we initiate the observer. Also I have mentioned a couple of different options/commands to start the observer. They are mentioned in the document in my google drive (link provided in the video description)

Thanks for your feedback. This question has been already answered multiple times. Please uninstall the connector version you currently have and install an older version like 8.0.27 or 28. That should work. This issue started with the newer version of the connectors released after this video was made.

@shreyarawat4138 - Please remove the connector version 8.1.0 that you currently have and install version 8.0.28. This should work. If not, then go back further by another 2-3 versions. This issue started with the newer versions of connectors.

Thanks for your interest. Yes that is in my list but now in a lower priority. The reason is - very less viewers response. These high level topics require a lot of effort in terms of research and time before publishing to users. However the viewer response is so low that I had to think twice. Information publisher report has been deprecated from OEM. You can use BI Publisher report or Oracle Analytics Publisher. I have a few videos on BIP Reports. @sushilsubugade2947 - The DB down, listener down or any target Up/Down alerts have to be handled via Target Availability type events. This is very clearly demonstrated with an example rule created for a listener down event mentioned in 1:02:22 minute marker of this video. Before you add a rule, to the ruleset, a clear understanding of the OEM monitoring framework is required. Please do not skip the video as that will waste more of your time fumbling between the components of this framework to find out how they work together.

@NianOuyang123 - thanks for your feedback. If you have OTBI you don’t need PowerBI as both are BI tools. Also OTBI has better insight into real time transactional data from Oracle fusion.

@@YouVolve We need to combine the data from OTBI with other data sources. So we want to have a try to connect them.

@NianOuyang123 - Thanks for your question. I believe Oracle will not allow any external connections to the data for their SaaS or Cloud applications. But if you have a way to extract the cloud data (if Oracle permits) into an external staging area, then PowerBI will be able to pull it, combine it with other data objects (your requirement) for your analytics. In my knowledge there is no such option available but you can contact Oracle support for such requirements.

@Regnum-007 - First uninstall the current connector software. Then install the previous version of the connector. If that also does not work, keep repeating. I remember in the older versions of connector like x.x.28, x.x.27 this problem was not there. One of the older version should work if you don't have a different issue.

@deekshidha3794 - Thanks for your question. The MySQL connector and the MySQL database both are different software. You have to download the connector for 3rd party applications like PowerBI to be able to establish a connection to the database.

@melikeertunc6093 - Thanks for your feedback. To resolve the issue you faced in date format, let me first explain how date format works in Oracle. The error message that you are encountering is quite common and it's a data issue in your source excel worksheet. If possible please share the SQL you are using. I guess, you are using an MS Excel worksheet as your source data feed and the SQL is something like this: SELECT text_col1, text_col2, number_col1, to_date(some-date-value, 'DD/MM/YYYY') some_alias FROM table_name WHERE some_condition; Now, in the SQL above, if the "some-date-value" is something like "11/17/2023", you are likely to hit the error message as the month value Oracle is expecting is not a month as it is 17. You can handle the issue in the following ways: 1- Manually fix the data issue or discard the rows in the source data in the excel worksheet if there is only a few of them and visible with your eyes. 2- If the issue is in large, then try changing the date format to 'MM/DD/YYYY' and fix the data issue other way around. 3- If still the issue exists, please check my video on how to detect and fix data issues without using ETL tools: ruclips.net/video/MFXqOPr5TF0/видео.html Hope this will help.

Hello @dineshnagarajan7633 - You can use the "Full=Y" option to export the full database. However it is a logical copy. If you want to create an exact replica of the source database then you may go for EC2 option in AWS, where you get full server access and can do even RMAN restore.

The bit platform should match. Even if you are able to use a lower bit version, it may throw errors in certain cases.

Hello @sailusailaja8341 - if the Connector version you are using is the latest and it is still not working then try a few previous versions like 8.0.33 or 8.0.32 etc. Please continue this by going back for the last at least 4 versions and one of the previous version should work. Older versions of the connector did not have this issue.

Hello @royalmech1361 - In the 22 min and 21 sec of the video, there is a step to set the password for the root user. You might have set it already. If you cannot remember the password, the easy way is to reinstall the Linux.
