+Jason Stratton This guy is a joke. Westfalia came with a 3-way refrigerator Standard, and since a 5 speed overdrive was originally offered on the the 1982-1984 USA spec Vanagon straight Diesel...putting a Diesel in is not much trouble. A EGT gauge is simply too ghetto along with other stuff. As the indirect turbo-diesel was available globally for many years (not the USA)........there are tons(including 5 Speeds) laying around in wrecking yards. Guess the new Westfalia crowd including shops are very shady characters and many crooked. Parents paid $18,500 out the door (pre-odered) in 1987 for their fully loaded brand-new Westfalia with optional power-windows/locks too. Everything works like new and nothing modified to ruin its resale value.
That's an amazing van, engine sounds amazing. Darryl's transaxle will live on forever and I hope that you and your wife continue to travel happily. Hope the van goes or has gone to a good home :) cheers.
I'm looking to install one of these in my Sprinter. I take it that the smaller 2000 will heat a van no problem? I like the low current requirement and conservative propane usage of these units. Also looking at the Platinum vented Catalytic (PlatCat) heater made locally in Oly. Hard to decide. Thanks for posting.
How many housepowes from this tdi
video qualitys like looking with advanced glaucoma
60k westy, $10 camera. Is that Rick Moranis?
who installed it ? the name and address of the company that installed the TDI motor cuz I have the same thing
thanks for posting this, it's helped me make up my mind. I'm going to buy one for my T4
Beautiful project! I would love to own this

+James Torrey Went with a small Espar Airtronic that I got for a good deal. It ended up being about the same price as the Propex + installation costs.
