I know this video is 5 yrs old but I just ran across it. So I'm at 40% on my EF. I understand that below 40% is considered severe HF. Having said that, I have a runny nose in the morning when I first get up. But not much any other time. AND I only have one lung. If you see this, thanks for the video.

My cardiologist discharged me,and said they cannot help me anymore. I have cardiac syndrome X, and positive heart scan x2. I'm on Angina medication and have hypertension. I've lost weight over some months. But I have a silly dry cough that starts during the night, and also have developed a runny nose. After watching your video, it has made alot of sense. I cannot walk far and suffer from severe fatigue. I have APS, Lupus and Sjogrens, plus other conditions connected to illnesses.

Even healthy people, as they age, are more prone to develop postprandial rhinorrhea. This is very common condition. In addition allergies can increase as we age so it may have nothing to do with your heart. Your video is a little bit of a stretch.

This has been the most helpful video on youtube for me on this subject of CHF at this moment. I'm so weak now I can't stand up but a minute or two, have a constant runny nose pouring all day and night, cough frequently & the cough at night is so often it's keeping me awake. But I feel my best when I'm sitting for long periods of time. I'm 80. HELP HELP HELP .... So I would like some vague idea of my life expectancy time so I can do all the needed long range preparations. I'm not afraid. I just need some statistics based on my age and condition pleeeeeze. :) It would give me great comfort to have plans in place for the expected and the unexpected. I'm now following all the usual instructions for CHF.

Ok, so the runny nose COULD be because of heart failure, BUT it could also be because of COPD, which inherently affects the heart. *Sigh* so many variables! 😮

Aren't there some basic and usually obvious dietary changes these people could be making so the body can regulate it's OWN fluid levels? How about quit lying to yourself about all those sweets and cut them down to 1/2 serving a day. Then cut grain carbs, especially GMO carbs(Corn and Wheat) down to 1/wk as a treat that you can always upgrade in quality later. Then replace those grain carbs with green carbs, that's right a veggie plate! Cut the meats down to just one serving a day, and read articles of watch videos about which meats are considered the "cleanest," that is, which meats tend to have fewer bacteria, heavy metals, etc. in them. Talk to your health and nutrition coach and a learn how much salt and other macros you should consume in the average day. That should help people who are having water retention issues significantly. But DO talk to your certified health and nutrition coach before making any changes. Sorry to Truth bomb your channel brother, but we shouldn't be needing to re-invent the wheel, when our bodies have already adapted to nutrients and other mostly vegetation sources growing in our own local area, in the primitive setting,( in nature.) We can learn to regrow and in many cases purchase all the specific nutrients, cleaners, etc that our bodies need. And once you taste a veggie from that veggie plate, the bacteria in your gut a micro-biome says, "oh hey, that's not such a bad idea after all!" So eat up, and skip the garbage you have convinced yourself that you need and you'll be too full of nutrient rich foods to want that garbage. To your health, Joel PlanetShalom.Com Gab com/PlanetShalom @PlanetShalom on X.

Can confirm, diagnosed Stage D CHF 2020, runny nose since 2020, everyone thought it was COVID due to the ongoing pandemic. I personally thought it was bronchitis. Showed up in the ER after passing out on the couch and after an echo they found my ejection fraction at 10-12%. There is definitely nothing which can be done for the runny nose. Keep tissues handy and live your life to the fullest. 3 years in, still not able to get on the transplant list at 50 years old.

I cannot think of anything that will substitute water other than paying for an IV.
