Our Town
США
Добавлен 30 авг 2016
Here we are sitting in the WMAL studios on Jenifer Street recording our new podcast series called “Our Town”. We have come full circle. Both Andy and I worked together at this radio station in this very building many years ago. Andy managed the station for 11 of his 36 years and I worked in programming and sales for 32 years. Needless to say, WMAL is near and dear to our hearts. We are here because we have an affinity for this station, it was our home, between the two of us for over 7 decades. Bill Hess, the current program director for Cumulus Stations nationwide has graciously allowed us use this studio as our home base to record “Our Town.” We are greatly indebted to him for his generosity.

Did I really just hear the interviewer cracking up when Chris Plante mentioned the Muslim bombing on 9/11 ??? What a sick, depraved S.O.B. !
Miss you Andy! Love, Paul and Holly
A fun walk down memory lane!

Chris Plante's wit and humor are exceptional! He and Mark Steyn are both masters on the radio! 📻
Chris is awesome. Thank you
He is the best and the other one is so handsome
Chris Plante is like a rapid fire machine gun of truth. In 10 seconds he speaks more truth than an entire news cast.
Chris Plante is the best. I listen to him ALL the time! His wit and mental acuity are unmatched. I guess Mark Levin is on par. But few others.
Washington DC certainly is not what it used to be and I’m sure most people would agree that it’s gone down the tubes. Sonny got away from broadcasting and the Redskins just in time as everything has gone woke and political correctness. Sonny was to football what Muhammad Ali was to boxing.
The Great Sonny Jurgensen!!!
Aww my aunt and uncle! ❤️ stumbled upon this!
Everyone knows what you do Portnoy. = sickening gross
❤ #suepalka
Tom Quinn was the worst director of the Federal Air Marshal Service ever. His policies put Air Marshals lives in danger when he was the director. Apparently he never worked undercover so he instituted a dress policy that Air Marshals were to wear suits, cut their hair military style and be clean shaven. To make matters worse he made the Air Marshals preboard the aircraft in clear view of all the passengers. Tom Quinn was so bad as a director they forced him out of the job. The 2nd director quickly changed the dress code and the preboarding requirement.
What a beautiful woman ..I remember when she was working in Richmond
I'm from Fayettevill Arkansas and he's on the radio when I ride the bus to school.
Lol you must do more, more, more of these Mo Siegel. Because his voice itself, his voice itself was such a Washington institution I would think there ought to be a lot of recordings of his voice, including commercials, lying around at various media outlets. Please upload his voice. By the way, great impersonation.
I listen to him every morning at work in WV his show was always my favorite I'm 29 been listening to Chris for about five years now awesome show
can we see your show live sometime?? can you pod cast to you tube??? Im a MAJOR plante fan.
So, David Blair. What's going on with the $100,000 payoff to stop Question B from passing? WHAT are YOU getting out of this? Good thing you lost the race for County Executive because we do not need corrupt people like you in office!
Today is September 11th, 2020!
Chris Plante is awesome! #1 talk show host in America! He's brilliant and funny at the same time.
Totally agree. He and Mark Levin are legends.
Dear Andy, Thank you for sharing half an hour with Lyon. I got to work with him when I wrote as a listener for him when Bill and Chris and Gauger took time off and he actually aired me and my bits. I hope I helped hold their audience. I then graduated to working for Metro Traffic and being heard on stations all over town and then becoming Andy Parks' fill in airborne traffic reporter. Plus I was hired as WMAL's official staff staff ad copywriter. I was overjoyed when I got my first paycheck from WMAL. It had been a long standing goal of mine to work for the station I grew up with. I remember Janice telling me when I was in the airplane (and she was Harden and Weavers producer) NOT to converse with Frank and Jack or, they'd get completely behind in their spots. I left DC and came to Southern California where I became a funny traffic reporter for the top station in San Diego. I also started the first televised traffic reports there. After John Lyon's daughters case was solved the story was carried all the way out here in Palm Springs. I told the local station that had known John Lyon back then and also worked for WMAL. They sent a reporter to interview me and I was glad to talk about John and WMAL. I still have my yellow satin AM 63 ball jacket. I was saddened to hear that WMAL is no longer on AM 63. The end of an era. Everyone I know who worked there has told me what a wonderful man you are. Thank you and God Bless. Saya Hi to Janice for me. I think she'll remember me. If you speak to Lyon please also tell him I still think of him.
the road is narrow and yes wendy u are include
Love Sonny. A true gentleman, class individual, great player.
TOUCHDOWN...... WASHINGTON REDSKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Plante------GENIUS.......America--Lucky to have Him!!!
Boy, you said it!
Frank needs to UN- RETIRE
I’ll never get tired of her wonderful photographing!
Sonny had a TV show on Channel 7 with Steve Gilmartin, Monday following games, and always a excellent analyst. That 1973 Super Bowl, they would of beat Miami with Jurgensen..
Sonny was one of the best pure passers in the NFL. He was extremely accurate and put the ball in the only spot his receiver had a chance to catch the ball. He was a true leader who had the confidence to overcome adversity and one of the most competitive players of his time. If there was a minute left in a game and the Skins needed a touchdown it was enough time to win. He led many comebacks during his time and I was fortunate to see a few. He is my favorite player of all time and I will always cherish those memories. He was fun to watch and a was a team player. Luv #9!!!!!
The absolute best on DC radio
Calm down liberal lol
I met Donald Dell at the West Side Tennis Club, Forest Hills during the U.S. National Tennis Championships. He was a swine
Miss him SOOOO much as the voice of the skins..
He is so much better than Larry Michaels. Hands down.
@@MrAndrew1012no comparison, Frank was the BEST!
Great show
Lotta smiles and memories with Pat and Andy
Sonny is the greatest all-round passer in the history of the NFL, but to be quoting Chaucer in Old English here (at 30:58) might just be the most incredible thing he's done to date!
