Mt Adams 360 + Goat Rocks Ultralight Group Hike
I recently did week long backpacking trip in the PNW including a 360 loop around Mt Adams with my friend Scott Nechemias, followed by a group meet up around the Goat Rocks Wilderness with some other internet friends. The hike was a amazing, and I hope you enjoy my documentation of the trip!

This is a self critique of my prototype backpack I've been using. It's approx 33L and weighs 10.25oz.

This was an overnighter that turned into a one day trip. Still had a great time and got to hike and scramble around my old stomping grounds.

Great video, Sam!
thanks ,nice info
Go out in the sun sometime, you pasty sniffly boy.
I'd like to see foggymountain rub this liteskin to failure.
Wyd here lol
LiteSkin Fabric non breathable? I wanting something to be a vapor barrier.
Be aware of your camera angle.
Thank you for video
Thank you. I feel better with my liteskin backpack after seeing this 😅👍🏽
RBtR had a bunch of test fabrics temporarily available last year. Any idea where to test some? Especially interested in 1.2oz Dyneema Grid for Hammock? As you know, dcf fails hammocks due to tensile mismatch between dyneema and face-mylar? Theory is that woven dyneema overcomes this mismatch problem by allowing stretch within the weave? But what other perils await?
I’m curious to see woven dyneema make it into the market. I hear it’s pretty abrasion resistant.
This was super helpful! Thanks for this!
This is awesome, thanks so much for sharing. Helped out so much!
At 3:57 is that what they refer to as “the gap?”
Maybe "not so scientific" but clear, understandable, and most important... to the point! No one seems to talk about wettability, here in the NW, it is really important. I'm curious what you think are the best fabrics in this regard. Dyneema seems really good, but surely there are less expensive alternatives.
GREAT INFO VIDEO
Amazing video, incredible scenery. Subscribed. ✌️
Sam, Please get in touch with us over at LooseGooseDownSupply@gmail.com - We would love to get in touch about a business opportunity with you.
Transparent review,..that was cool. Please let me know when you have packs available. 33L is exactly what I was looking for!
Impressed that you will self critique publicly. It’s good to know what the problem is and be open minded to finding a solution to a problem. Much respect for that. Never heard of your packs until the other day when I was browsing through eBay and yours came up. They said it was just too small for them. :) Keep it up and keep refining the pack and make it better. My dad has made some stuff (not hiking related) and always wants to know what people think about it, so that he can improve on the design. Sometimes people have a good idea to improve something....other times don’t listen to them because they are crazy... happy trails
What a loser!

Nice videos. How can I get an invite to a hike?
Very lucky to be able to experience this. Always wanted to reach the top of Katahdin! Just subbed!
Nice packs! Please put me on your waitlist!
These look like great packs. How much do you usually sell them for out of curiosity?
Timothy Ketcher I was charging about 140. Haven't made any since March tho, been real busy with my day job unfortunately
I’m digging the ingenuity. What is the pricing of this pack? Lead time?
For both packs.
How can I get one of those packs?
What are the actual dimensions of the pack? Looks amazing, bro. Great great work.
Nick Dean roughly 5.5"x11"x27"
Roger that. Thanks man!
Sure would like to learn how to make one. Very nice. Good luck with your carreer. Nice to have time for yourself. Tough to do these days.
Very impressive. Interested to see you get up and running. Best of luck!
Great work man! I live in Tempe and would be very interested in buying one of your locally made packs. If you are still making and selling theses please message me back. Thanks
