This game franchise had some awesome characters, moves, super moves, and stages. I still wish a Samurai Shodown/Last Blade crossover game had been created, with characters from both franchises playable on the same game 🥲

This game was SNK's parting gift to the fans just before the company's acquisition by Aruze. They knew the ship was going down, and wanted to do something special to celebrate their history, hence the vast amount of cameos from Neo-Geo characters.

Seriously, not a lot of Aliens in a game called Alien Challenge.

Kowful's bomb Thor's hammer is actually the strongest by doing the most contact damage, but it has to be used right on top of a boss for maximum effect, preferably without any secondary targets as the missiles will split up to track them, lessening the contact time. Villiam's Vulcan bombing run does the most raw damage with the least amount of work, but that delay can be costly. I always knew the Viper Zero and the F-15J were special, Japan must have neglected to tell their American partners that their planes can shoot a giant spiritual laser and have localized time manipulation capability.
