👏👏👏 Qué ruta más chula hicimos!! ✌😎
La verdad es que si 😆😎😎
Are you having any problems in the gearbox ?
Only really very few times upshifting when I dont place my foot correctly. Havent noticed everything else sinced they placed the clutch nut washer that was missing (I speak about it on my review).
❤❤
The Gold Star brings nostalgia and excitement with every ride. 🌟
BSA bikes are a perfect blend of heritage and modern engineering-an absolute joy to ride
I just bought this bike ,,I also own a Himalayan.... yes I like big singles,,,(oh I bought second owner ((cheap) I also like very much the old Sanglas 500....
Another "review:" RUclips is a cousin of Amazon and eBay. The message? BUY IT!
What should the message be... not buy it? 🤣🤣🤣 why?
@DahakaBSA Dahaka! Go ahead and buy it. Just pay attention: this is a Mahindra. It weighs 470 lbs. If you know motorcycle history then you are aware that this tub has no similarity with the genuine Gold Star.
2:20 I love when bike is alive (own Bullet 350), the only problem I have is vibrating mirrors at 110km/h. Does it happen on BSA too? I have also Super Meteor (650 twin) and no vibration even if I hit 150 km/h. I could replace mirrors with end of bar one but it somehow doesn't fit the classic motorcycle like Bullet. 2:40 Now 650 Classic is out there and I still won't consider it because I know the engine from my Super Meteor. It is too smooth for me. On the subject of twins I wonder if people who like smoother engine would feel better about Jawa (which shares a lot with BSA) but it features twin engine. It also comes in classic flavour. 2:45 Not anymore. Just before Royal Enfield released 650 Classic BSA has dropped their prices. Autotrader lists new BSA for £4500 = 5400 EUR. Also second hand bikes come now in the price of Royal Enfield Bullet/Classic 350. Be mindful that initial production models had a lot of teething problems which mostly were rectified so you need to know if the bike you are buying had this fixed or not. 9:40 Just a sidenote, you can't sell BSA at all. Autotrader is stuffed with it. Dealers don't accept BSA in part exchange (at least this was the situation in September/October) 10:00 Watch Stu Fillingham video on welds in BSA, he explains that some parts of the frame are cast (not welded) which makes them stronger. This is why some of the welds are so fat. Another thing is if this frame is hand weld, it means you need to inspect your bike closely before purchase as it doesn't have a quality problem. You've mentioned your clutch missing a washer, I wouldn't be surprise some weld on the frame got botched as well. 14:20 I think it will sell mostly in the UK which it aims. On other markets it will be as a niche bike (because of it classic characteristics). All in all, I was considering Kawasaki W800 vs BSA Gold Star. I've already passed on Royal Enfield 650 Classic because I own Super Meteor and I know that it is too polite for me. Kawasaki W800 features interesting engine (360 twin = both cylinders move in the same direction giving it more character) and the valves are driven by a shaft (not a chain or belt). However twin still sounds like a twin. That's why I will go for BSA in the end.
You wont miss. About the vibrations on the mirror, 100% its al blurred passed 100kmh, you "see" but can identify nothing more. Doesnt affect safety but you wont see a cop bike creeping at 500m (happened to me, appeared from surprised). Got the bike at almost 7500km now, still very, very happy.
Oh man, get this phone off, it spoils the view. Here is a fix for ya, Beeline Moto (old one looks cooler).
I've seen it! Its beautiful and sure its in my list.
Hello, i had a XT500 when i was young and when i saw this BSA Gold Star i fall in love. I buy just one hope to ride it tomorrow...😊
Great ride, sh*t location :)
Well, thats why I made another video on mountain roads
Great job, thanks mate😊
It's a fun bike ......❤❤❤
Very nice video.. thanks for the informations. Can you tell me which is this beautiful town you are in to?
The city videos are from Valencia, the ones on the mountain are from Dos Aguas, around 20-30km from Valencia
Little rubber band around the usb cover might be handy 😅. Also, price 6200 euro here in NZ for plain black one, 6700eu for colours.
Yeah, it flies around hahahaga
Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has this better. USB is integrated into left switch casing and it is located under the handle bar. Nothing flutters as you ride. Super Meteor doesn't have it for some reason. USB in Super Meteor is located under the side cover below the seat.
@slawomirkulinski pretty much everyone has better options
interceptor 650 has better engine for the price
It has a "better" engine but still, you dont buy a mono engine to perform better, but because of its behaviour on road.
If I wanted a twin I,d buy a twin...I rejected the intercepter when it first appeared,,I rode the Super Meteor earlier in the year and it felt better,,, But I always wanted a big single...And for the price I paid it is super cheap,,, £3700
I really like this bike, but unfortunately, we don't get them in Cyprus, at least not yet...
Great review ❤ great bike, sounds beautiful 😊
Thanks!
My 2019 Himalayan had the judder plate missing in its clutch causing plate failure at 5000 miles.
Sad to hear that. The repair was just placing the plate and readjusting the clutch?
The clutch issue affects 2022 and 2023 Gold Star 650's, the clutch has been modifed at the factory on all 2024 machines. I bought a 2022 registered Legacy Edition ex-demonstration model in May this year, it had only 14 recorded miles on the clock, I paid £1k less than the price of a brand new machine. My Gold Star has done very little miles, not even enough for it's first service which I believe should be performed at around 500 miles. Here in the UK, the clutch modification is being referred to as a "health check" which is being done free of charge by BSA dealerships, I will have it performed on my machine when it has it's first service.
Excellent clear review of a machine which in the UK is not getting the best reviews because of quality issues and dealers not able to support fully!
@garywoods765 nearly as old as me then, started 66 with Benly 125 twin!
At beginning of year, my wife was 100% against me getting a bike. I even got my learner licence (I am not a learner tho as I am 56 this year!). Lately, I said I kinda wanted one cause might make me feel young again. She has then asked me twice in a few days, "How much?" Even I hadn't asked her. I was just looking at the bikes on YT and she asked How much? What does it mean?
Maybe she means how much you want really go get s bike, or maybe just the price. But I would recomend you getting a classic 350 or something more docile to begin with, like a 125cc.
Good to see a proper road test
Thanks!
Why didn't the dealer put on a washer first time
Lead mechanic wasnt present due to medical issues, so the mechanic thought at the moment it was just something normal.
@@DahakaBSA True.
I want one
Great video thanks. The clutch problem is part of a recall campaign here in the UK being done under warranty. I really like that tank strap, and those panniers look great too 👍
Thanks. Mine was all done under warranty. Could you confirm me the recall campaing? Just for me to inform the dealership just in case.
@DahakaBSA they're calling it a "health check" rather than a recall. It also includes some wiring checks, inserting rubber grommets in the back of the headlight shell where the cables enter, and refitting the stator bolts. 2024 models aren't included as they already have the upgrades.
whats your view about the intercooler. its too big for a single, at least that's my personal opinion. its look awesome, i love the dual meters
The cooler seemed oversize for the engine at first but you dont even notice it later. Also it works perfectly, in Valencia I drove the bike during hours intensly on the mountains with 35-38 C° and still I've never had any overheat issue.
Do not forget ,,if the bike runs hot ,,you need a bigger radiator....
Peoples reviewing that vibrations r manageable not vobling handle on high speed…Whats your experience
They are manageable indeed, but you gotta enjoy them
What’s that on your tank ???
Its a leather strap from a boneville, just cosmetic but love the vibes
Clutch washer nut missing is a huge defect
From manufacturing??
@@rithikchauhan7053 according to the uploader his bike had a clutch nut missing which happens in early production bikes but it's a serious issue
It is, gladly was detected and I havent see anyone else having that issue.
I love this bike i wanna buy it but only thing i fear is spare parts
Same, I hope that with the launch of the bike in india spare parts will start to be produced in larger quantities.
@@DahakaBSA I wish but it's difficult coz it's so different and the other thing is in India any vehicle (2W) selling less than 10k unit per month is considered low selling or failing so aftermarket don't produce such as Jawa and yezdi bikes they've been here since 4 years but you won't find there parts it's very difficult,RE has a Monopoly finding it's parts are so so so easy
Due you fear that when its piston rings will worn off ,finding 100mm piston for replacement will be easy???
I have no clue about replacements. Piston rings should resist for a long while. But I know spare parts are quite hard to find, specially here in Spain.
@@DahakaBSA parts hard to find for a rotax engine someone's having you on
I like your videos but I noticed that you used to change gears like a sport bike..i think that the bike is made for softer kind of driving. If you like this way of changing gears is o.k. l like it too.. let's hope that the gear box is strong enough. I had the Yamaha SR 500 when i was young so yoy understand how much I like this BSA.. But unfortunately here in Greece we have not a dealer yet..i hope we will have sometime to have a test drive of my own.. thanks for the video..
Thanks for the recommendation. I dont usually change gears like that, only for the record, on daily I usually drive like my first video, but I do understand your concern and ill try to be careful. For now the gearbox holds fine, no issues besides the one commented on my last video (review), but Ill keep an eye on it. Lets see if you can try it soon!
Nic bike
Thanks!
