The lack of ambiance enhancing the dreadful experience of LIDAR is because you can’t see anything. Having that ambiance to build tension in horror games really only works when there are things to see. But stuck in this void of dots, the total lack of it is much more haunting than some little sounds could ever manage.

I don’t know if he literally ripped off the code of other games, but even if he did, taking it and managing to get it working really well in another game is super impressive. I also get why people would be upset about him selling his mods when mods are generally a very community oriented thing… but also when you do that kind of work, getting some cash for it makes it more likely the guys going to keep putting out. Not gonna say everything he did was cool, but the hate def feels a bit over kill
