In a way, Hadley Fraser is a pretty ideal Marius. I adore Michael Ball, but one thing I can nitpick from him is that he sounds a tad too mature. Fraser sounds extremely youthful, even if he couldn't match Ball vocally.

Absolute perfection! He has the hopeful, optimistic interpretation that so represents Arthur's personality at this place in the show. Bravo!

I’ve seen this show live and didn’t even register that there was a Raoul boyfriend, until Hadley. Which is probably why I was very “meh” on Phantom except for some of the music. But now I’m completely obsessed. It actually makes sense now and I am simping over Hadley’s Raoul. Sierra makes Christine vulnerable and strong and most importantly compassionate, plus sublime beauty and killer vocals. Ramin’s rendition of Phantom is piercing. This is such a beautiful production but Hadley and Raoul with Christine is irresistable to me

YES!!!! 2:21.....my sentiments EXACTLY!!!! SMH I first saw Les MIs as a 14 yo at the Curran in SF with my drama/theater HS class in 1987 or 88!!!! Someone took my seat so I sat on the stairs in the balcony. I did not pursue my dream. But I have never been the same since that day...

2:21 - Holy God, ANYONE would have been better. But Hadley to Ramin's Enjolras would have been perfect. I've been following the pair of them since... well, since before the 2004 Phantom of the Opera movie where we were all a little gutted that Ramin only got a cameo as a photograph instead of the actual role as the Phantom. Even back then, it was obvious that he was going to nail it, and of course, where there's Ramin, there often Hadley! 😂 I used to go watch Les Mis at the Palace in the West end literally every week on the Saturday Matinee, which made for getting familiar with the cast and other regular fans. At least, recognised by sight, anyway. No hanging out or anything. Those were the days... when I was well enough to leave the house, and there were £10 restricted view seats a few rows back in the stalls, and because the Saturday matinee performance was never that busy, it was easy enough to scoot over a few places and get a great view. I'm glad Earl Carpenter was given a part in the 25th too - he's always been a great performer and seems like a nice guy. The last time I got to see both of them perform was when Ramin took over from Alfie Boe as Valjean while Hadley was playing Javert. By that point, my health had deteriorated to the point where going out was a huge deal and left me in significant pain and weakness for a week or more, let alone that I'd moved to the north of England in 2005, too... so going to see them was a HUGE undertaking and required some bribery of my sibling to accompany me with London's cruddy disabled access. They were STUNNING, and I would do it all again, even if Hadley DID try to sneak past the huge queue of people waiting at the stage door for Ramin and wait a few feet away while he did the photos and autographs and whatnot. Luckily I managed to get a pic and autograph from both of them, and we caught the last train out of London by the skin of our teeth... because *that* would have been a disaster. LOL 12/10, worth the stress and physical pain because they were amazing together.

The memories this song brings back! Hadley is the perfect voice for Arthur. It echoes the real qualities of Humanity, Nobility and Virtue and Humbleness and Dignity. Beautiful.
